...and our own Bison fan (who posted here and left) who was a BIIIGGG Demon supporter wakes up in the mornings and yells at the sky every day. I wonder if it's because she's changed politics? Who knows but it's a possibility and wants to save face by not admitting it.

Minnesota is swinging conservative due to the large white population, but the Twin Cities still hold the large majority of voters. Even if Trump wins the rural areas by leaps and bounds, he has to make considerable headroads into the suburbs in the Metro area. He did make gains in the Metro last election and came up just a bit shy; I think he has a good chance to flip the state, more so than any Republican in recent memory. Fools like Omar and the national Dem party are helping his cause tremendously. I'd give him about a 40% chance of winning MN in 2020

So, was this large white population not conservative before? If not, what were they?

Perhaps I phrased that sentence poorly, but I would argue that many white Minnesotans are sympathetic to the governmental ideals of Scandinavian counties: a strong safety net, more taxes than average, support of collective bargaining, and high citizen participation.
Personally, I would not classify those people as 'conservative' in a typical sense.
I would argue Democrats are primarily losing these voters because many Democrats are focusing on social policies (LGBT stuff, etc.) over actual economic policy. There are other factors as well, but I think that's a big one.

What's any of that have to do with being white or not? Why did you even mention it?

In that case, how can I let them know I am voting Trump again? I'll even send them my address. All they have to do is make sure their life insurance is paid up and come on over. Bike locks are no match for an AR-15

"They didn't leave the Democratic Party. The party left them."
We've been telling you, Dems. Keep going after splinter demographic groups and lose your overall support.
Frankly, I think it's great. It's a the Democratic Party eating itself away.
And I have personally said for a few years that I feel sorry for the average Joe Democrat because his party has been hijacked by radical leftists. I understand it and I empathize because my party was hijacked by RINOs.
