Good schedule. I would have liked one more top 10 lock on the slate, but this should work.

RE: Basketball schedule is out.
I'm guessing the ones that don't show a TV listing will be on ESPN +? Anybody know?

Right, you got to figure that Georgia game, considering the recruits, is made for TV.

RE: Basketball schedule is out.
Once again, poor OOC home schedule. I’m a little shocked at how bad it is. I thought the top recruiting class and Expectations would get us at least one, probably two marquee home games. Georgia is the best home game? This ain’t football. Before you bring it up, I know they have Anthony Edwards.

I have never been more disappointed in a Tiger basketball schedule since the 80s.

I didn't count but Drew Hill tweeted that we have nine Saturday home games. Got to like that. Also I'm pretty sure every game will be one TV somewhere. 04-bow

The fact that it's not listed yet tells me that it's tentatively being considered for CBS. This game would draw national attention you have to think.

I see very few national TV games but more of the despised CBSSports Network games and they may get more. I think ESPN/ABC is pimping the football P5’s basketball teams ?to others detriment) for football contractual reasons.

Same for the game against Oregon. It's not listed as being televised anywhere but you know it is --- maybe on the Mothership.

I think the Georgia game was pretty much arranged by ESPN - part of the AAC vs SEC slate. It should be on the flagship.

That's the NFL Wild Card Saturday with two games around 3:30 and 7. Look for our game to (hopefully) be the lead in to the early game. Could get lot's of eyeballs on us if that's the case.

Yeah, you got to figure the Georgia, North Carolina State, Oregon and other games will be on National TV. ESPN, ESPN2, or CBS. They just don't have the TV schedule out for non-conference games.

You have more sense than that.. broadcast rights for games are literally worth 100x as much as they were in the 80s. For the foreseeable, big OOC matchups that arent continuing series will always be big city neutral-site and/or part a "Classic" to maximize value of the media rights.

Our big OOC games are Oregon (neutral site/Nike Invitational) and NC State (neutral in Barclays). Both of those are HUGE visibility games and will get a major channel broadcast

What's up with playing just a game a week in December? only odd thing that stands out to me.

Only one less game than November or January. But I'm with you, we should have had a 40 game schedule this year.

How does a neutral site game raise the value of TV right for that game. TN AT Memphis still one of the highest cable rated games ever.

And I’m not sure why everyone keeps talking about a game with a middle of the pack SEC team with GA as if we are playing a top 10 game at home.

Its not the neutral site that raises the value, its the packaging of it as a "classic" or a "challenge" so it can be advertised as an event that can be sold as a package of content.
