UAB - USA Prediction Thread
I feel like these are fun, so figured I would start one:

I think we come out of the gate well rested from the bye, but rusty. USA comes out fired up because they know a lot is at stake bragging rights/recruiting wise.

I think it's tight at the half, 17-7, good guys. We come out with some adjustments at half time and go deep on a few balls while also mixing in some healthy doses of Spencer Brown and score a few in the late 3rd, early 4th. Defense gets a little tired from being played tough in the first half and gives up some garbage time TD's.

Final Score
UAB 38
USA 24

We will try and establish our running game seeing that USA gave up 300 plus to Memphis on the ground. Punting and returning will be important part of the outcome as both teams struggle offensively. We adjust after trailing 7-3 at the half and get some explosive plays to win 24-10.

RE: UAB - USA Prediction Thread
I kept up with their score against Nebraska (mostly bc of all my Husker coworkers). I saw they kept it close. Didn’t realize until I watched highlights a couple days ago that Nebraska need 2 defensive TDs & a punt return.

I know Nebraska was overrated, but still a ranked (at the time) Big10 team.
I can’t decide whether to focus on the destruction by Memphis, or the near upset at Nebraska

I was very impressed with their play against Nebraska, so they are quite capable of putting points on the board.

We will know early. Whichever team can move the ball on the ground is going to have the upper hand.

RE: UAB - USA Prediction Thread
Their run D won’t be near as bad as what some expect. Memphis likely has a p5 Oline and speed at all their skill positions. Now that they’ve seen us going down field time and time again, they won’t be able to afford to go much more than 6-7 in the box. Weve shown nothing for them to be intimidated by in the run game nor in the short passing game. Hopefully we can have our most balanced game offensively this weekend and force some turnovers, capitalize and create separation on the scoreboard.

I want to see Wooden and Stanley get some carries regardless of whether or not Spencer has a breakout game. We should try some runs to the outside and let our RBs go head on with the DBs.
