RE: UAB vs. USA Bragging Rights
I wish USM could play Troy every year. Fan bases have a lot in common. Could become a great rivalry. Nothing but respect for Troy.
We should be playing Tulane and Memphis, but you know. USA and ULaLa, too.

Did Troy get the road paved to the stadium because the last time I was there it was gravel.
I also remember leaving Troy Stadium and hearing gun shots. Someone got killed at the Gas and Go or Kill and Stab.
I wish we would play Troy and USA every year it keeps the money in the state.
I LOVED Troy taunting Saban it is HILARIOUS.

Troy's never had a gravel road to the stadium.

There's also no gas station near the stadium. Me thinks you've never been to Troy. Legion Field though looks like south side of Chicago. Maybe the new stadium location will help to limit gunshots to just one per game?

Troy trolling Saban was a victory for all of us.

These games are good for the state just not sure who to root for. Know players/families for both teams. Good Luck to all and rooting for an exciting injury free game.

Hard to say really. If the Jags had played Memphis closer and had chances to put themselves in positions to win, I would say 15 hundred or more, but it should be several hundred or so. Have not heard how many busloads are going at this point. Will try to post more if and when I hear. Maybe Skully will provide us with an update.

If any of you USA guys want to - you can stop by our tailgate North side of the stadium look for 2 white canopies w/ our BT banner around spot 67 - we bark but our bite isn't as bad as a komodo's is. I'm torn allegiance here as I was one of the original USA club team members in the 80's to help start the program but I'm a blazer now. Give me a heads up so I can toss some extra cat/dragon meat on the grill.

Sounds great, thanks.

I’m not sure how many will be there. Like Joe said, the Memphis game was a little deflating. I know we are bringing our band and a couple student buses. There will be a bus for those that are part of Runnin’ with the Jags as well. I’m driving myself so I don’t keep up too much with those details.

I've been looking forward to this game for a long time...back to when I was a student at South with the great basketball crowds. Back then we always thought, "wouldn't it be great to play each other in football"? Well now it's here! I'll be up with another 3 in my group. "Battle of the Med Schools" This could be another great rivalry!

I mean, South is only averaging like 13k fans on the season. How many of those are driving 4-5 hours to come to birmingham?

There could be 2-3 thousand Jag fans there. Lots of alumni and students from the Birmingham area. Getting off to a slow start and AU and UA having early games doesn't help though.

RE: UAB vs. USA Bragging Rights
The ticketing system at Ladd has had problems this year. I think the numbers are bit low. We had to let people in for free because fans couldn't buy tickets at the game. Having games at 95 degrees doesn't help much either. There was a shooting at Ladd a few weeks ago for a high school. We can't wait to play in our new stadium on campus next season.
