My top ten (progressive)
After week 3.

1. Auburn
2. Notre Dame
3. Ohio State
4. Arizona State
5. Kansas State
6. California
7. Iowa
8. Florida
9. Michigan
10. Wake Forest

This is strictly based on record and current strength of schedule. Obviously this would change drastically from one week to the next.

There are quite a few 1 loss teams considered but wins trumped them.

Obviously Alabama, Clemson etc... would eventually work their way into this once schedules strengthened.

Yep, they would have made the top ten with a victory over Temple and their top 90 sos.

Yes, I heard Urban Meyer say this same thing Saturday. Talked about all the talent there yet they always lose games like this. He wasn't degrading them, he just couldn't put his finger on this and why it happens at Maryland every year.

Was this loss frustrating...oh yeah. But let's also not take away from what Temple did. The made more plays when it mattered. Congrats to them. So on to the next one...I'm looking at you GE! I don't have a good feel for what's going to happen. Both teams have a bye I believe. I'm curious to see how Maryland rebounds but also nervous about PSU having the bye week. They can set up a bunch of stuff and model some of their plays using the Temple template.

I want Wisconsin to win this game so bad but I think Michigan is going to pull this out.

RE: My top ten (progressive)
So with Buffalo and Pitt both pulling upsets today, Penn States strength of schedule jumped 89 spots from 190 to 101. Penn State obviously played both these teams in case you didn't catch that.

RE: My top ten (progressive)
Penn State gets hit in the polls for only winning by 7 against Pittsburgh when it's Pittsburgh's Super Bowl, the 100th meeting, the last of the series, and their attempt to stay relevant in the state. Pittsburgh had everything to gain from the game with Penn State having everything to lose. This is why the series won't continue even if it should.

Hopefully Penn State gets some more credit for beating Pittsburgh even if that makes Pittsburgh look better.

RE: My top ten (progressive)
This is where I'm at after week 4.

1. Auburn
2. Wisconsin
3. Clemson
4. Georgia
5. LSU
6. Ohio State
7. Alabama
8. Penn State
9. Oklahoma
10.t Iowa
10.t Florida
10.t California
10.t Kansas State
10.t Boise State
10.t Virginia
10.t Wake Forest
10.t SMU

I know, that's a lot there in the 10th spot, lol.

Waiting on Alabama to have better competition.

LSU giving up 38 to Vanderbilt is concerning.

Clemson has a very easy path.

Ohio State, see Alabama above^ I give Ohio State a higher vote now due to better strength of schedule.

Oklahoma, your schedule absolutely sucks so far!

Minnesota, Appalachian State and North Dakota State are knocking on the door.

This will look totally different in a week.
