first down call question
This years it is a Dukes Cheese-steak first down (doesn't really roll off the tongue). Mad me think, what was it last year?

RE: first down call question
It’s Urgie’s Cheesesteaks! I’ve heard they’re good and it’s a pretty cool place.

RE: first down call question
I was driving from Phoenix to San Diego during the West Virginia game listening on Tunein Radio. It sounded like Dave Thomas was saying "It's a Herpes Cheesesteaks first down". My wife thought the same thing.

Yes, but for the life of me I can't remember who sponsored it last year!

I’m not sure about last year but I know it used to be Wells Fargo.

RE: first down call question
Pepsi?
Has also been Coca Cola in the past.
I do recall Wells Fargo.

My wife asked Curt Dudley about this call on Friday night but I don't recall what he said.

Here we are taking about Urgies but unable to recall last year specifically. What does that say about that sponsor? I mean I jest, but... 04-cheers

Coca Cola? You must have a good memory because JMU signed an exclusive contract with Pepsi when L. Rose was prez, and that contract is still going strong to my knowledge.

Over the loud speakers, "It's a Wells Fargo first down." This year, "It's a Dukes Cheese steak first down," from Urgie's.

first down call question
It was better when it was simply

“Aaaaaamd that’s another Dukes..... First Down!

And with Dukester standing on the bleacher with his big foam finger pointing the wrong way!

Ahhhh, simpler times

Coca Cola first down may have been the first one to buy that

Do you remember how long ago that was? It must be at least a decade or so ago. I honestly had become used to the Wells Fargo tagline, and was surprised when they apparently did not continue the sponsorship.

Bruh I don't remember what happened yesterday. Naw I can't remember what years it was. But like you said, it was before the Pepsi thing, which was July 1 2014 for a 10 year contract worth over 6 Mil (obv i just looked it up, because you know, memory).
