I'm a bit surprised they didn't get the east done 1-2 days quicker than the west, to help transportation to get them out to Edmonton for the Conference Finals.

Vegas now up 3-1 on Canucks...and it doesn't feel that close.

Marc-Andre Fleury reclaims mantle as Vegas nears West finals berth

RE: 2019-20 NHL Thread
think the NHL is rooting hard for the Islanders tonight so if they win- they can get both east teams out to Edmonton early and be able to start both conference finals at the same time.

Well, bit of a hiccup for Golden Knights as they lose game 5 1-2 to Vancouver. Let's get it done in Game 6, please.

Knight made it harder than it had to be, but got into Conference Finals winhj a game 7 win against Canucks. Dallas seems to have their numbver in tonight's game 1, buit they are a good team.

I like the other side bracket of TB and NYIsles. Should be a good Cup this year no matter what two teams make itm in. Hockey has done a great jo0b of being highly entertaining and watchable during the virus-era.

Knights get it back and evened the series 1-1 with the Stars. TB meanwhile up already 2 games to none over Isles. Hope Vegas can keep it going. A Vegas/Tampa Stanley Cup would be awesome to see.

Stars are IN. With their luck....

Isles making a series of it slowly but surely.

Stanley Cup Finals schedule!

I feel the Lightning are the better team but the Stars have looked good too.

It should be a heckuva good series; wish the Knights were there, but either way it's good for hockey versus all the other "sports"

RE: 2019-20 NHL Thread
Wow, Anton Khudobin had another great game in goal for the Stars, as they showed Tampa Bay they were for real, winning tonight 4-1 in the Stanley Cup's first game. I guess I feel slightly better about Vegas now that the Lightning are receiving the same treatment. Still, think the series will go at least 6, but who knows.

Also, not gonna start another thread since it's basically over, but what an epic penultimate stage and time trial where Tadej Pogacar dominated fellow Slovenian Primoz Roglic at Le Tour de France today. Set to become the youngest post-World War II champion, at one day shy of 22, Pogacar flew on the penultimate stage, an uphill time trial, devouring the 57-second lead that had made Roglic look impregnable before the showdown. Despite the Covid stuff, this was another truly great race and showed incr3edible heart afterwards as Roglic came over to congratulate Pogacar. This kind of young spirited competition bodes well for the future of cycling.

FWIW, Anton used to the Canes #2 goalie behind Cam Ward a few years ago. I'm kind of happy to see him doing well.

Why/how did you let him get away? Looks like a real "keeper".

Lightning win a close Game 2: 3-2. So, it's down to a five-game series for the Cup!

Couldn't pay two starters when the team had other more pressing needs.

That bogus penalty last night led directly to the Bolts W on the power play finisher in OT.

3 minutes to go in a tie game for game 5. Can Tampa win it all tonight?
