Blues going for the repeat! Though it's exceptionally hard to do, the Pens did it only a few years back.

Canes have shutout the Bolts 5-0 over back to back.Preseason games at beach's home arena. Preseason or not, I like the dominant start. I have a feeling we will have an interesting final roster when it counts for real.

Deja vu... 3-0-0 for the canes, all three games won in OT or shootout after trailing at the start of the third period. No quit in this team.

Wow. Now that baseball's over for the night...turn to puck and see canes outlast Lightnin' in OT. Impressive. Also, early, but Wings beat up Stars for an early 2-0 on the season. The change in Conferences from West to East has been quite unkind to Detroit.

Good matchup tomorrow night on the Strip as Knight battle Bruins, last year's Cup runner ups. Both teams 2-0 and look good so far. This one will be a good test for both teams. Pretty good slate all around tomorrow, too.

I saw that score and wondered if it was too early in the season for that to be considered a "statement game".
Many experts have the Lightning as the best team and taking the Cup this year (or course that's what they said last year).

San Jose (who some experts see as winning the Western Conference) are slow out of the gate and are 0-4.
They have a -12 point differential, highest in NHL.

Canes start 5-0. Best start for the franchise....EVER.
