Just announced that CMU game is going to be a noon kickoff. My son has a youth football game kickoff at the same time. This will be the first home CMU game I've missed since I started attending WMU in 1999....so bummed!! GO BRONCOS!

I hate Noon starts!!! Too early of a start, coming from Detroit.

I'm coming up. Haven't been to the CMU game since 2009.

I love the noon start. I too will be coming from the Detroit area, but enjoy waking up early for a little tailgating. Go Broncos!

That's happened to me too over the past few years.

This year we have rocket football at 9:00 and 10:30. We could roll into Waldo a little late and a little stinky.

Yes!!! Personally, I think Western/Central games should ALWAYS be noon or 3pm kickoff.

Also, this means we have 2 home Saturday noon kickoffs this season - with possibly 1 or 2 more. No one should be complaining there's no Saturday day games.

Problem with noon kicks is our students don't seem able to get out of bed in time. Really dampens the atmosphere in the first quarter or so.

The students don't like the noon kickoffs, the community doesn't like the evening kickoffs. It goes both ways.

I loved the noon games as a student. Early tailgating, hammered by 11am, watch the game, home for a nap, then get up and do it all over!

I'm not complaining at all about the noon kick... it gives me a Saturday night off!

I'm good with the noon kickoff. Those of us with a 3+ hour drive can still get home at a decent hour. I'll probably come in Friday night. I love that the WMU/CMU game is early fall. It is perfect in Kalamazoo, and both schools still have optimism for the season, making the game more than just the rivalry. The stadium will be rocking, and we will have everything that this game deserves. I hate it when we play at the end of the season, and one or both of the teams are having a substandard season, with an unenthused fan base. This year we should have students, alumni, and locals all there. I'm excited.
