Yea that one was a bummer. I was hoping we could take care of business at home against them. Need to keep the non-loss streak alive. The unbeaten streak is currently at 6.

Next game is Friday @ NIU 8:00 pm start. Go Broncos!

We were primed for a let down... quite a few games between WVU and Akron with no relief... They weathered an early Akron storm and snuck a tie... thats a win in my books...

Akron is in a very down year, but a top program, and in soccer no game is a given. My problem with this tie was that Akron was down a man for much of the second half, and throughout both overtimes. We had some flurries during that time, but couldn't get the winning goal. Missed opportunity at home.

Broncos lose 3-2 in Dekalb. Tough night for hockey and soccer last night. Ugh. 03-pissed

So long as we win the MAC, we're fine.

Got a 1-0 OT win at Detroit Mercy. Dodged a bullet as UDM is weak this year. Squarely on the bubble right now at 42nd in RPI.

Cool part about this is that WMU swept all 4 of the other in-state D1 teams this year, Michigan, MSU, UDM and Oakland.

I was just about to turn that game off last night, and then we got that goal with almost no time left. That would have hurt. Still in a decent position to get a spot. Need to keep winning.

Big win. Akron took control of the MAC though with it's win today. It seem Akron has been bad against everyone this year except in it's conference games. Fortunately, WMU is pretty solid with its RPI, and should still get a NCAA spot, unless it loses its last game, and first game of the tournament

RE: Men's Soccer 2019
SIUE would be another top 100 win and would go a long way towards sealing up a tournament bid.

RE: Men's Soccer 2019
Those Michigan and Loyola wins are turning out to be huge for us. Both top 25 RPI now. I think a win over SIUE and one tournament win would get them in.

RE: Men's Soccer 2019
How does RPI work because we are only 35th in RPI despite tying for the most road wins in the country and having a better overall winning percentage than 12 teams that are ranked higher than us? Doesn't seem to make sense:
RPI NCAA Soccer Ratings

At least in the coaches poll we are ranked 25th, which seems to make more sense when you look at the overall statistical data:
NCAA Coaches Poll

Just curious because it seems odd.

RE: Men's Soccer 2019
RPI is heavily strength of schedule based. Our SOS is decent but dragged down a bit by teams like Akron and MSU having down years (and the MAC overall being weaker than, say, last year).

That’s a good question, I’m not sure but WMU will be the number 2 seed along with a bye in the first round.
