It speaks to the stellar leadership of Larry Scott.

And the PAC has been very bad so far. Just yesterday, three PAC teams lost to G5 opponents. The only conference the PAC has been better than is the ACC.

Just goes to show that teams and conferences are different things. Or, it could be an anomaly, as three of those PAC teams are between 20 and 25.

The difference of being a P5 with a name and not. Look at who Oregon and Washington have wins against. Not a single P5 and sprinkled FCS teams in there. Same goes for WSU, marquee win against Houston, but I'm really starting to question how good Houston really is..... but cant dock them since they are undefeated i guess.

The six ranked teams are a combined 16-2, with Oregon's loss (choke) on a neutral field to Auburn and Washington's 20-19 loss at home to Cal. The conference is okay.

UCLA football is a disaster on so many levels. It is really hurting the perception of the conference. USC football being mediocre is hurting the conference as well. USC is going to fire Clay Helton at the end of the season and likely hire Urban Meyer. With the Lynn Swann firing (officially a resignation), there will be a new AD and that person will hire their own football coach. Stanford has not looked good this season, even in their win over Northwestern. These three schools need to get better.

RE: AP Poll for September 15 - Half of the Pac 12 is ranked
The PAC to date reminds me of how the ladies and I interacted in the 1980s. On the one hand, they saw potential. On the other, they had significant reservations. After three weeks, I enjoyed successes. After three months ...

How Cal is ranked is hard to understand. UC Davis 27-13, UNT 23-17? They won by 1 at UW. Kind of like the SEC. They beat a team who pollsters thought was good so nothing else matters.

The Pac will cannibalize itself as the year goes on and will finish with only 2-3 ranked teams at the end of the year.
