They are still providing the warning at the beginning over the P.A. I will ask around since it seems to be a mystery.

I asked the ROTC group, and they said they have to use a different type of shell. It sounds like a supplier issue. Perhaps you can hear it on the student section? I can't hear a thing on the hill.

Suggest they bring someone in to do reloading class. Should be easy. Don’t want to not hear a cap gun when we score. Want Boomer. Early and often.

It’s like they dropped the load by half... used to suck the air out of my lungs... now it sounds like a cap gun.. it’s sad!!!!

It seems like every year there are complaints from the neighborhood that it's too loud for the evening hours. Maybe we'll get the real Boomer for the day games.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a conspiracy and they just can’t buy the boom boom shells right now.

They followed up with me: “Its an Army thing with budget constraints. If you know of someone who can make custom ammo loads, send them our way.”

West Point still has the big bangers. Every Army score several cannons go off, inside the stadium and outside. And they are freeking LOUD! No budget rounds there. You would think it would be universal.

I was flipping through games last week and they showed an ROTC cannon going off loudly at the stadium when the team entered. Cincy maybe?

They were fairly loud at Toledo, as well
