How many yards did we give up on sacks today? like 75?
Just a horrible take. Huskies will be fine and are going to rake over the MAC. Would have loved to see at least one P5 victory in OCC, but newness in coaching and injuries have held us back.
Perhaps a horrible take, but realistic. Long term I think Coach Hammock is good for the program, but this is a rebuilding year.
I expected better out of the offense with Bowers in there, but some of his decision making has been suspect. He as an arm, for sure, but NIU has long relied on dual threat QB's, which Bowers isn't.
Maybe I'm being a bit pessimisitc, as NIU did play pretty well the second half. Harbison was chewing up, and was Nettles.
The broken play was the backbreaker. Had Bowers just fallen on the ball, we still were driving, but I guess we'll never know.
We'll lose to Toledo and WMU, and probably EMU also. If we can eke out another 5 wins at least we'll make a bowl, for what that's worth.
I don't see us in contention for the West.
