Exclamation Conference play is going to be hard
The AAC has become a very good football conference. That trip to Philly will be one of our more difficult tasks and I don't see any easy W's left. Starts with Navy and our improved defense. That effort yesterday was outstanding.

RE: Conference play is going to be hard
Temple beat Maryland and Cincinnati beat UCLA (0-3)
Looks about like it always does to me. Temple and Houston will be tough road games and Cincinnati will be a great game to close out our undefeated season with. I realistically see 6 wins and 3 losses. 9-3 ain't bad, but we could get lucky.

Navy 2-0 (Holy Cross and holy ECU)
@Temple 2-0 (beat ranked Maryland)
Tulane 2-1 (played Auburn)
@Tulsa 1-2 (lost to Michigan State and Oklahoma State)
SMU 3-0 (haven't played anyone yet, next up, TCU)
@Houston 1-2 (lost to ranked Oklahoma and Washington State, but played them close)
@USF 1-2 (blown out by Wisconsin and lost to the ramblin wreck, who lost to the Citadel, they were supposed to be good)
Cincinnati 2-1 (beat UCLA, lost to Ohio State)

Championship against UCF

Getting PT6 back is the key. Gainwell is gonna be special but Taylor will be needed against Temple Houston and Cincy defenses.

Taylor is a very good back and he will enhance our chances. But with his injury we need to think of him
as an added bonus not as an expected contributor.

That's what they said on TV. Probably preseason rankings. Temple will be favored in Philly, Houston in Houston. Unless there are injuries ... 07-coffee3

Right now it’s about 50/50 at Temple and about 62/38 at Houston. Tulane and SMU are also looking good.

I dunno....Being favored, especially this early, isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Complacency happens... and expectations to win sorta subtract from the joy of winning.

Winning is sheer joy! lol. It can carry us thru a whole week if we let it.

Thrilled that the conference is getting better from top to bottom. All (dans UCONN) seem to be adding quality depth as well.

Our new defense under Adam Fuller is the unanticipated factor that will carry us to a very successful season. Those oddsmakers predicted us to be favorites in every game based on our past offensive success. We had all hoped, but nobody could have predicted, that we would roll out a nationally ranked defense. It's our secret weapon that we have unveiled in these first three games. This ain't your grandfather's defense.

Actually our defenses used to be very solid. Having highly ranked defenses in the 70's, 80's and 90's. We've never had a top 25 offense and defense at the same time.

Not only did Vegas do it, now the ESPN FPI has us favored in every game from here on out. Yes, those likely change as games approach, but I don't think it will change that much.

Yeah, I knew that, but it's been awhile. TW had a ranked defense when he was our D.C. Rip put all the best players on D and had a decent defense, but couldn't score to save our bacon. Today is a new era.

Houston could give up or become a scary good team. We'll have to see.

Yeah, they said the "odds" were current (before Saturday's games). I believe Temple was the tightest and it might have shrunk more after their big win Saturday.

Every year we think the conference is going to take a step back, it progresses. It's why we need to focus on winning the conference and not worry so much about our OOC schedule. Access slot (and $4M) is always there for the taking for the AAC champ.

We now have a 56% chance of beating Temple.
