But that is using the incredibly bad ESPN FPI. I don't put a bunch of stock into it, because they still have the vols as a solid team.

It is terribly flawed. But it's what their guys use on broadcasts. I imagine most Vegas sites still have us favored in all games as well. Sagarin has us favored in all remaining games, but has us an underdog in the CCG versus UCF no matter where it's played.

Temple went from 75 to 71 in the latest FPI after beating #25 Maryland.
Tennessee went from 43 to 38 after beating UT Chattanooga.

Yeah, it's flawed.

RE: Conference play is going to be hard
The AAC top 5 teams could probably beat quite a few P5 teams right now.

Classic ESPN. Anyone ever researched their algorithm?

We need a GP equivalent Poll Attacks for football! It actually matters in football (not the FPI, but the "credible" ones).

RE: Conference play is going to be hard
Nothing the last 2 weeks has changed my mind. The top 7 in conference are solid football teams. More than ever I try to watch as many AAC games as I can catch. A tough stretch starts next week with Temple on the road. 1-0 baby.
