Jack performed like a pro. Appears to have improved from last year. We typically would have lost that game. He has some deadly WRs and I'd like to see us throw more to open up the run. Anyway, we'll see how far he's progressed next weekend.

Good game against Troy. He's basically up there with Favre and Collier now.

Best he has ever looked. Hope he keeps it up. Maybe he read the message board and realized he had to stop throwing the ball like a *****. Nice play calling by the OC too. Much better than the passes 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

He was channeling Austin Davis on the QB sneak.

no thanks i'll stay standing and counting saying he's got a weak arm. He played great though and you cant take that away from him so i hope he continues to play well. His arm however is still weak that hasn't changed.

I'm hoping he was being sarcastic?

It would be an understatement to say Jack has been inconsistent as the Eagle QB, and his interception/fumbling bugaboo has been problematic.

However, he was better than Favor/Reggie (college-wise) and awesome against Troy. We all hope it is a sign of things to come and not an anomaly. We'll know real quick-like Satdee.

it's too funny...we didn't know if reg/favor would throw darts at the bullseye or into the trough in the restroom...

their balloon ball sideline passes were epic...I think more than one found a skirt on the sideline...

did both have superior lawn jart capability...yep..

so fk'n what is what that brings in today's game...

arm strength is a misnomer that's easily misunderstood...

Did you just say JA is better than Reggie and Favre as a college QB?

If Brett and Reg played in today's college football their numbers would have been exponentially better. Reggie would have been the 1st pick in the draft. He was Cam Newton before Cam Newton was born.

what you guys are failing to recognize is neither play for USM in today's schema...they both would've been groomed differently....

the stats and vids speak for themselves...

Reg's career completion percentage was just a shade over 50%....he couldn't hit the damn mascot....however, that guy could run like a deer in space though...and he beat up on the Bear....that's legendary!

he had a slow windup with 4 second hang time on certain sideline deep throws....hell, some may have rivaled Ray Guy's curve/apex....

Brett was about the same with the exception of having a cannon vs. the legs....

what he did in the NFL was akin to USM with the exception of having the same tools in the box..52% completion with 54 tds coupled with 32.....32 interceptions....that's one helluva shiTTTy TD/INT....

Reg's was 16 tds with 17 intros....why do yaz think Reggie right, Reggie left was his mantra...

I loved watching both and the many close games they won at the helm....

however, in the land of simple stats, they would've been a different player for a different team the way they groom 'em now...

we were vedddddddy lucky to have those guys play for USM.....in both their own way, they helped change how the QB position was played moving forward....

that's iconic...

now it's all about system and read/release timing....it's simply a different game....

I don't think im failing to realize anything at all. Nothing you said is news to me.

Do you think Reggie or Brett would throw for 50% or have the same TD/Int ratio if running the offensive scheme that JA has so far in his USM career or that they were incapable of running the current system and read/release timing? I feel pretty sure both could throw a screen effectively and Favre threw a 2-7 yard quick slant as good as anyone ever did (which this offense throws regularly). Very happy with JA's game last week but he's no Reggie or Brett and never will be, regardless of what his numbers end up being. I don't think anyone equivalent to Bobby Bowden or Bear Bryant will ever be saying that JA is the best football player or QB they have ever seen or played against. You cant compare numbers of today with numbers of yester-year.

Jack did a great job Saturday all round. We are one game above what I thought we would be at this time of the year. After our prostitution game Saturday, barring anymore injuries, we should be off to the races.....

Buster finally took off the leash....same thing Monk did with Mullens....

at some point, you have to put faith in the 'eye test'....

JA's tosses are sound...his run/read options are suspect, but should improve....

the young man has major C working....

Never got the pleasure of seeing Collier or Favre play due to not being alive when they played at USM. But, Abraham is looking good and nice to see offensive fireworks again. If the secondary can get back to being good instead of the soft coverage stuff we've seen the past few games this team could easily go 10-2.

The words ‘easily’ and ‘racist’ are used a little to freely in today’s parlance....but ‘if’, now that’s a mighty word.....
