I'm hoping he was being sarcastic?
It would be an understatement to say Jack has been inconsistent as the Eagle QB, and his interception/fumbling bugaboo has been problematic.
However, he was better than Favor/Reggie (college-wise) and awesome against Troy. We all hope it is a sign of things to come and not an anomaly. We'll know real quick-like Satdee.
Did you just say JA is better than Reggie and Favre as a college QB?
If Brett and Reg played in today's college football their numbers would have been exponentially better. Reggie would have been the 1st pick in the draft. He was Cam Newton before Cam Newton was born.
Exactly. And far better than Cam Newton....and Michael Vick, et al.
what you guys are failing to recognize is neither play for USM in today's schema...they both would've been groomed differently....
the stats and vids speak for themselves...
Reg's career completion percentage was just a shade over 50%....he couldn't hit the damn mascot....however, that guy could run like a deer in space though...and he beat up on the Bear....that's legendary!
he had a slow windup with 4 second hang time on certain sideline deep throws....hell, some may have rivaled Ray Guy's curve/apex....
Brett was about the same with the exception of having a cannon vs. the legs....
what he did in the NFL was akin to USM with the exception of having the same tools in the box..52% completion with 54 tds coupled with 32.....32 interceptions....that's one helluva shiTTTy TD/INT....
Reg's was 16 tds with 17 intros....why do yaz think Reggie right, Reggie left was his mantra...
I loved watching both and the many close games they won at the helm....
however, in the land of simple stats, they would've been a different player for a different team the way they groom 'em now...
we were vedddddddy lucky to have those guys play for USM.....in both their own way, they helped change how the QB position was played moving forward....
that's iconic...
now it's all about system and read/release timing....it's simply a different game....
