Secondary....
Our secondary looked TIGHT tonight, made big plays, covered really well. That mess we saw last week was fixable, and they just showed us that they addressed it just fine!

Def looked better, hard to say how good GSU is exactly but hopefully our issue got patched

RE: Secondary....
It was a small issue, mental and correctable. Glad they got it worked out.

Disagree. They were on point, and assignments all night. Sorry to disappoint

RE: Secondary....
If it wasn’t for that tipped pass that deflected off of our CB for their TD, we would have held them to a FG for the entire game.

I really hope we go Wisconsin on the chimps in two weeks at home. But Syracuse awaits, let’s get a W in the carrier dome.

They looked much improved. I want to see how they look next week against Syracuse.

I think they’ll improve even more. The direction is set and the talent was always there. Fun to watch on both sides of the ball.

These newer guys bring even more speed to the table, our overall team speed is formidable.

As long as they are in the right positions, the speed will pay off. Hoping for a competitive hard fought game on Saturday. Need to stay healthy going into MAC play.

Agree. I’m not going to make too much of this game either way but I’d love to see these guys get a W and trek on for a special season.

Agreed! Would love to see WMU get some revenge for the loss last season in Kzoo.

RE: Secondary....
Great to see #2 finally make a play. He also called a coverage audible pre-snap on a 3rd down which confused the QB - resulting in a sack.

In game adjustments after the 1st quarter were impressive. I hope this is a sign of things to come!

Didn't see you saying "too early to tell" when everyone was saying our defense was horrible.

This.

The losses to Toledo, Ohio, and Brigham Young are/were still fresh. Also gave up way too many points last year to Syracuse, Michigan, Bowling Green St, Ball St, and Miami.

The Defense MIGHT be better this year, but let's see how we do vs Syracuse and Toledo (and even Central)
