Just further evidence that Rice has the worst placekicker in the nation.

Serves those Rice betters right.

Rice has played Texas just 13 times in the 24 post-SWC seasons. So, while the Owls haven't defeated Texas since 1994, it's just a 14 game losing streak, not 25.

On a positive note, there were more students there in the 3rd quarter than I have seen in at least five years.

I’m not sure about that. I gotta thinkctheor second string is composed mostly of 3-4 star recruits (mostly 4’s) who are younger/less experienced than the starters. I haven’t analyzed their roster to confirm this.

Talked to a tea sip pal re attendance. Seems that the tix brokers bought a bunch of the good seats and that these were being listed for crazy amounts.

Actually thought defense played ok at times, but just overmatched and no rest due to offense. D is way better than in many years. Still think bloom needs time.

But this is all a function of 20/30/50 years of neglect and lack of effort from an administration which doesn't want to truly support athletics but doesn't have the guts to kill it, so adding a little arsenic to the water, then acting shocked that the patient is dieting.

Oh yeah, one more. Classy move for Herman to come all the way across the field to hug Dillard during the CUSA HOF ceremony during one of the timeouts.

Yeah that was cool.

Kudos too to Wayne Graham for sporting the David Letterman beard look.

At least they appeared to be enjoying themselves. Let's not downplay one of the few bright spots of the weekend.

Was it though? Check out the very end of the video - luckily JD's hands are still top-notch as he saves a near drop of the youngest Dillard child.

Absolutely.

And, someone please remind me of ANY Rice QB since Chase who had more pocket composure, better ball protection, and a prettier/more accurate pass than Stewart. I think he's looking great, and I'll be very disappointed if he doesn't start again next week.

McHargue has good pocket presence. Not as strong of an arm but his legs were a weapon. And comparing anyone to the post-Clement Rice QB’s isn’t the highest bar...

Driphus was pretty good the Hawaii Bowl year... He then fell off quite a bit in 2015.
