Not a tumbeleweed in sight in the Hill Country.
Not one in the Texas Coastal Plains.
Or for that matter the Piney Woods, or any of east Texas.
Or for that matter Gilmer or any of the Northwest part of the state.
Or for matter anwhere north and east of San Angelo, or east of Roosevelt.
Or east of Del Rio.
Next time you make a broad generalization, I suggest you actually fing put some feet in the place you make the generalization about. That is *before* you make such generalizations. They might make you look stupid otherwise.

I’ve lived in south Texas my entire life and have never seen a single tumbleweed. You don’t have a clue what your talking about.
Welcome to Mensa world.
Your argument appears to be with Texas A&M AG extension who I linked in my previous post. Personally, I couldn’t care less. Tumbleweed, in my initial post, is just a visual for the vast nothingness which makes up much of the state. If you’d like to seriously debate the habitat for tumbleweed, then you’ve got your link.
First problem is believing what an Aggie tells you.

California is populated by Californians. Texas is populated by Texans. That makes up for a lot.

That is actually game, set, and match, tbh.
And yes, I have had many years living in both......

RE: California vs. Texas
I moved to Southern California (Orange County) in 1977 at the age of 13. Lived in Huntington Beach for 9 years (although half of that was spent at UCLA for college). I moved to Houston after college in 1986 and have been here every since.
California has an amazing climate, but I never liked the people there - they were too fake for my taste. I just think people in Houston are way more genuine, although I do have to say the climate seems to get worse and worse every year on my now 55-year-old body. You kind of feel like celebrating when you survive a Houston summer. Now until May we get the nice weather.
I still have two siblings in Northern California. One can afford to live there (one can't) and has an amazing view of the Bay Bridge. But every now and then, he sends me updates about cars being broken into in front of his house. school districts which only have 1 or 2 decent schools for his kids, and various climate and natural disasters to worry about. I like to visit his million dollar house (which would go for less than half that in Houston) but I think I'll stay in Houston.
Unless it just gets too hot and then I'll probably have to move to Southern Illinois near the in-laws farm. The heat won't be a problem the next two days with TS Imelda passing right over us. But this is a good tropical storm (I think) - just lots of rain that we need anyway.

I suggest you actually make it here and search for some sparkles.
Or just keep flapping your lips with bull****. Your choice.

Enjoy the entertainment while you can. TDS will claim him eventually as well. We've already seen what it did to Mach.....

I lived in San Diego County for 3 years, about 30 minutes from La Jolla. I got tumbleweeds on my driveway almost every day from July-December. Most of California is desert, or very close to it. The only places that get much precipitation are high up in the mountains.
Other than those mountains (where very few people live), CA is a pretty ugly state. Nothing living other than some scrubby bushes.
For sheer natural beauty, I'd take the worst part of West Virginia or Kentucky over the best parts of TX and CA.
