I agree the O-line needs some work, but a really good back will still make some highlight runs with even the worst of O-lines. Harbs has had 300 career carries. You recall any runs that really really impressed you? Any that you would put up against some of the better NIU back highlights?

Harbs averages 5 yards a pop behind this crappy line. He averaged nearly 7 yards a pop last year. That's saying something. Is he Turner the Burner? No but I also think he is the best back in the MAC...

Harbs average 5.0 last year. 4.5 this year. His numbers are right in line with Bouagnon. Given same carries.
TH=290-1455-5td
JB=290-1412-15td

JB did have better offenses but he played half his games with Ryan graham at qb. 04-jawdrop

I hope you’re right. I hope Harbs has 150 yards against Nebraska and you give me a giant told ya so. But I’m guessing we get 20 carries for 65 yards from Tre tonight.

He played pretty decent against one of the best defenses in the nation last week (got to the second level once maybe twice?) with a so-so line. My guess is he absolutely dominates Vandy/Mac and has a good game today close to 100 yards.

The line will only get better IMO and actually having a passing game this season will help a lot. Nettles has way more explosiveness than Jones and a lot more upside. I think jones best quality is his blocking and about it. Never thought that highly of him.

Based on your post we might need to see more of Jones.

He has the most agility and speed to hit the edge but he can’t break tackles. You put your hand on him and he goes down.
