Just curious what everyone has come up with. Bartow & Blaze are the only ones I'd say that fit the pet criteria. Everything else I can think of to reference is too proper of a name (Jordan Howard, Spencer Brown, TJIII, Bill Clark). What have you thought of?

First dog is Oliver (currently enjoying more freedom than the Oliver he was named after).
Second dog is Bartow

I don’t remember him playing but when I first went to UAB there was a player on the team named Pipo. From the same time period Mincy would work as a pet name as well

I would think it would depend on the personality of the pet - if you remember in the movie Patton where his bull terrier he wanted to call it William for William the Conquerer but some tiny little chihuahua dog scared it, so he says the dog's name is Willy not William

I rescued a cat back in 2006 before moving away for college. I named him Blaze. He’s still kicking at my parent’s house.

Our rescue cat is named Blazer. His siblings are Jake and Elwood
