Anyone remember we play Auburn tomorrow?
Any thoughts how much Barrett will play given that is where he transferred from?

Give our history of QBs getting banged up in these payday games I’m sure we’ll see both Crum and Barrett and possibly the #3 too.

RE: Anyone remember we play Auburn tomorrow?
The one nice thing about these games is it's easier to find articles and information about our team because the opponent's reporters are writing about us. Here's an interesting Auburn article where they interviewed Allen Moff from the RC. What stood out to me is Moff seemed very baffled by the benching of Barrett as well. Personally I'd be very disappointed if Barrett doesn't play a lot in this game. He's going back to his old school, give him a shot.

Posted this mainly because it’s depressing to see last week’s game discussion (that’s really disguised as multiple posts about our AD) continue to be the top topic on game day against a big school.
Regardless what anyone thinks about the AD & scheduling, our guys WILL take the field tonight in a very tough contest.
I’m looking for Crum to have a decent game - just pray he doesn’t get injured trying to run too much - and for Woody to have a little extra juice with something to prove.
In the end, even my most optimistic self cannot convince me we have a legitimate chance of a W, but that’s why we play the games.
I for one will be rooting hard from the opening snap to the final seconds for this group!04-rock

RE: Anyone remember we play Auburn tomorrow?
I am looking forward to the game as well. Auburn is coming into the game averaging 25.5 points a game and their QB is 47% on his completions. Statistically they don't appear to be worthy of the #8 ranking they currently have. If the defense continues its strong showing and the offense steps up this could be a close and entertaining game. Next week they are facing Texas A&M so we might catch them looking ahead.

Wow that no call on the late hit compounded by the penalty on out coach. Refs not on our side early.

Hate to play the ref card, but this is ridiculous

Crum just got leveled during a slide. Come on guys you're a national championship contender and you're going to win. You don't need to keep taking cheap shots at our QB.

What conference supplied the refs?

SEC. Also supplied espn & the announcers.
Very proud of them. Most dynamic I have seen this offense in a while, and they are definitely holding their own.

I actually don’t know. Sure seems like home refs anyway.

RE: Anyone remember we play Auburn tomorrow?
I know of the negativity before this game and I imagine there will be more in the coming days, but I like playing these games and I see progress being made with our team. This Auburn team might be the best overall team that we have played in our history. I do not believe that we had major injuries and we made some nice plays. Furthermore, we will be Okay in the MAC.
I can see why Crum is the QB. He is reliable and had a very adequate game. We have the ability to present some problems for the other team. Overall, I am pleased with the progress being made. Note that our opponents are having strong records. Ariz. St. just beat Mich. St. and is undefeated. Kennesaw St. won 42-7 today and Auburn is ranked 8th and will go up from there. Do not get down on this team yet. Go Flashes.

RE: Anyone remember we play Auburn tomorrow?
I'm pretty encouraged by what we saw in this one. Our passing game looked better than it has in the first two weeks. We have too much size and speed on the outside to not be passing more. Also, McKoy is a big time receiver for those who haven't noticed.

Hope Warnock is ok. He sure didn't look ok. My biggest concern at this point is the health of our O line.

I didn't get to watch the game just listen to Ty on the radio. We're the refs as bad as he making them out to be? He made it sound like there were a lot of missed calls. I know he can be a fan sometimes instead of being impartial so curious what you guys saw.

This Auburn team would lose by 40 to the 2011 Alabama team.

The MACl ooks pretty weak this year - only UT, OU and EMU look good. I just want to see us play aggressive football - my big concern is -and I know we played good teams - is our inability to stop the run.

RE: Anyone remember we play Auburn tomorrow?
One thing was very obvious: there was a big difference in the size of the Auburn players compared to their counterparts on our side. Shaw looks like a beast in most of our games. Yesterday, he looked small compared to the LB’s and DB’s tackling him. Despite being physically outmanned on both sides of the ball, I thought we showed well yesterday. It left me uncharacteristically optimistic for the MAC season.
