'(Expletive) you!' chants at MSU's Spartan Stadium concern alumni

It's not just MSU. I got caught waiting to head for the bathroom with my son after the first game ended, and they already had the ropes up for Monmouth to head to the locker room. Some students were taunting the Monmouth players with F-bombs and such as they ran back to the lockers.

It's too bad, some of the Monmouth players were stopping to interact with the young kids along the line and sign their programs. Kudos to their players for not reacting at all. That had to be one of the very few times I've been embarrassed to be a WMU fan.

Now, WMU's hockey fans can be rough (I was one of them), but I think even we had some lines we wouldn't cross.

Let's be honest, lots of people my age and younger are not polite and entitled to the core. But that's a sad reflection of our general culture—from top to bottom—that is incapable of taking things seriously. President Trump, Governor Whitmer, comedy, movies, network TV, journalists, everything. We can't raise people without limits, tell them they are super special, and then expect them to abide by limits after the fact—limits that are not generally stood up for in public.

Fix our damn culture.

OK, rant over.

Snowflakes need to stay home.

With all that has gone at MSU in recent years - they are the last ones that need this kind of publicity.

And we certainly need our administration to make sure such low-level, boorish behavior doesn't happen at our home games.
