Really not a bad game by Houston. I didn't get to watch, but I'm guessing some of the offensive issues is due to the players still learning a new system? I know when Monty came to Tulsa it took about a year before they even had the whole offense installed. Not saying Holgorsen will be the same, but it can take time.

Houston should review the P-12 ref's penalties for validity and compare to WSU for similar plays (eg. OL protecting the QB) and evaluate for fairness. Depending on the results, they should send the "tape" to the appropriate authorities and leak to the press.

We started last year blowing out Arizona and going back and forth with tech in Lubbock and eventually running out of possessions. Last year every game until king got hurt we figured we had a chance to score. This year every possession is a roll of the dice on what they’re going to do. They’re more experienced but more sloppy some how. Defense is what it was always going to be after neglecting it since pretty much Levine. Levine managed a damn roster but not a game and he’s the reason Herman is at Texas now. Such frustrating times but hey, go coogs.

That’s a fair assessment. Here’s a chilling thought. Going back to last season, this team has lost 6 of its last 7 games against FBS opponents.

yea it is a massive "troll job" to point out two coaches that are cut from the same cloth of meh have 17 penalties between their teams

and one can't get his QB to stop hopping up to get the snap even when the snap is not high

and either team would be in a lot better shape without stupid penalties

like kick catch interference
