Exclamation around the conference . . . week 3
Memphis 2-0
@ South Alabama 1-1 (SunBelt)

Southern Methodist 2-0
vs. Texas State 0-2 (SunBelt)

Houston 1-1
vs. #20 Washington State 2-0 (Pac12)

Tulane 1-1
vs. Missouri State 0-1 (FCS Missouri Valley Conf)

Tulsa 1-1
vs. Oklahoma State 2-0 (BigXII)

Navy 1-0
vs. East Carolina 1-1

Central Florida 2-0
vs. Stanford 1-1 (Pac12)

Cincinnati 1-1
vs. Miami 1-1 (MAC)

Connecticut 1-1 : dogsledding

East Carolina 1-1
@ Navy 1-0

Temple 1-0
vs. #21 Maryland 2-0 (Big10)

South Florida 0-2
vs. South Carolina State 2-0 (FCS MEAC)

Some big games this week. A chance to make a statement (I'm not holding my breath though.) We'll see how real Central Florida is this year. Maybe Temple can hang. Hopefully Tulsa can keep it close for a while, and Houston can make more of a game than they did against Oklahoma.

Everybody's home except us. Well, and East Carolina in a conference game.

Watched a little of the USC Stanford game

USC pulled away big in the second half, but Stanford was still solid, just got away

UCF a good underdog style team so if they play the no respect card and play fast they could get a win.

I like Maryland over Temple but give Houston a real shot with WSU.

If both Houston and UCF win, let alone if Temple could beat Maryland, combined with our score not reflective of the ass whooping win over Mississippi, would be a nice start for the AAC

Houston looked respectably strong. Penalties, a few plays . . . they could have been in it.

After seeing that (parts of it), I'm scared of their speed. King is gonna kill us, and hopefully he's the only one we're chasing all over the field.

A missed opportunity is an unforgivable sin.

Speaking of missed opportunities, good thing the Big Orange didn’t hire Mike Leach. He focuses too much on winning football games, and not enough time shooting the BS with boosters.

Man Houston has looked solid despite the two losses. Gotta be frustrating for their fans (and our conference). They are legit and will be dangerous. I'm gonna do my best to cheer for UCF later, but I make no promises.

Stanford still solid? USC beat the hell out of them with a freshman, backup QB starting his first game. Won by 25, Stanford didn’t score in the 2nd half. Not sure what game you were watching.

Went to the Temple game today. Good win, but the offense for both teams was very stale. Temple plays some good D...look forward to Oct 12.

Houston is good.

Temple??? Didn't watch it but great win.

UCF - Early TD throw against Stanford was a pro throw. Dammit.

Good week for the AAC. 2-2 vs P5, rolled 3 SunBelt opponents, and destroyed 2 FCS opponents. No bad losses or narrow escapes.

UCF, Memphis, Temple look solid in all aspects of the game. Cincy, SMU, UH, Navy & Tulane look like they they can play with anyone in the league on a given night. Tulsa showed some signs of life yesterday to show they too might be able to compete. USF, ECU & UConn are weak.

We were a bit stale, and couldn't finish drives, but we put up 430 yards of total O. Now imagine when we click.
