While we all think it's an inconvenience, mother nature did its thing and the storm broke up as it came through the city - only parts of town to the north and south got rain but lighting was within 10 miles, so the sensors did their job.
Consider the alternative... JMU waits until Halftime and/or the storm intensifies as it approaches the stadium, and at worst someone is critically or fatally injured while trying to get to their car and suddenly JMU is making headlines for neglecting storms and putting fans at risk.
JMU made the right call. It got pretty dark in the 2nd Q. We got lucky on the weather Saturday. I layered up on the sunscreen but I still got burned!
I usher for the Rockingham County Fair every summer. This year just as the warm-up singer for Scotty McCreary was wrapping up his set, the EMS folks got word of a very nasty storm with a ton of lightning and high winds about 15 miles away and heading straight for the fairgrounds. I looked at the radar and it made me nervous. They had us completely evacuate the grandstands. We got lucky and the storm split and went completely around the fairgrounds and we were able to let folks back in about thirty minutes later. I was pleased that hardly anyone yelled at us about having to leave and some even thanked us when they came back in that we had been concerned about their safety. I completely agree that storms are nothing to mess around with. Ironically it began pouring rain about fifteen minutes into Scotty's set but since it was just rain the show went on and we just got wet.

RE: JMU vs. Morgan State
The Good:
Did what we were supposed to by crushing an over matched opponent.
Finally some TOs/Sacks.
TD Return on a lame onside KO attempt is hilarious.
The Bad:
Having 1st & Goal at the 1 and going backwards (though did score a TD from the 9).
Too many plays given up by the secondary.
The Ugly:
Injuries (Robinson, Maginley?)

They might need to move Davis over to CB and get one of the other DBs/LBs to play his spot. I know that rover or whatever it is a specialized position but we need our best ball hawks at CB.

Thanks, Deez, that first paragraph was something I like to hear. Agree, things were done as they should have been. Not always easy to see, and I am a natural doubter, simply like lots of detailed information like you have presented.
