#20 Washington State @ Houston - Coogs have taken a step back and lose to the Coogs at home by 7.

#21 Maryland @ Temple - Scottie Freakin' Mo is the Maryland OC. Mo couldn't beat his way out of a paper bag at ECU against an FCS team with literally a Heisman candidate quarterback. Temple at home by 2 TDs.

Miami (OH) @ Cincinnati - Closer than you might think. Cincy by 7.

Stanford @ #17 UCF - Knights easily at home. UCF 42 Stans 24

Oklahoma State @ Tulsa - Cowboys ride in and run over by 10

ECU @ Navy - Homer pick. Navy has run roughshod over ECU, but now they aren't what they were in recent years. Navy should have a slight edge, but Coach Houston ran the triple option at 2 schools. So let's see if he can defend against it. Pirates by 7.

Memphis @ South Alabama - Tigers declaw Jags 42-28

South Carolina State @ USF - Bulls trample Bulldogs and win by a bushel basketful

Texas State @ SMU - I did not know Tx St was an FBS school. SMU by 2 TDs.

Missouri State @ Tulane - Green Wave by several

I think you are extremely underestimating how good Maryland is and will be this year.

C'mon man, I'm trying get Temple fired up here!

And of course my statement wasn't hypothetical or hyperbole, he literally lost to JMU with Gardner Minshew at QB.

@_ Washington State @ Houston ESPN
MY LINE: Washington State 41-30 Houston should make a game of it but I like Washington State to get this done.

Saturday 9/14

#_ Maryland @ Temple CBSSN
MY LINE: Maryland 45-37 For obvious reasons I don't want to pick Maryland but so far their resume suggests they can really lay on the points and their two contests seem to suggest they are just enough better than Temple. However, I also think this game is both teams first real game against solid competition.

Miami (OH) @ Cincinnati ESPNU
MY LINE: UC 37-21 Cincinnati should be able to get his done. It will all depend on how they respond to that Ohio State beatdown.

Stanford @ #_ UCF ESPN
MY LINE: UCF 45-26 Stanford might put up a fight but UCF is just the better team.

Oklahoma State @ Tulsa ESPN2
MY LINE: Ok St 37-23 Tulsa isn't bad but I think Ok St is better.

ECU @ Navy CBSSN
MY LINE: Navy 41-27 The teams resumes up to this point don't offer very much insight for how this game might go. If ECU want's to win this game it has to get the offense running smoother and better. I think ECU facing and stopping a predominantly running game offense in G-W last week might help it in defending Navy this week but the Pirates have had traditionally too many issues in playing Navy for me to confidently pick the Pirates.

Memphis @ South Alabama ESPNU
MY LINE: Memphis 44-23 Memphis should be able to make this a blowout.

South Carolina State @ USF ESPN3
MY LINE: USF 35-18 USF should be able to get this one.

Texas State @ SMU ESPN3
MY LINE: SMU 41-26 SMU looks to be trending up.

Missouri State @ Tulane ESPN3
MY LINE: Tulane 31-17 Tulane should be able to get this done.

That's my story.

With the way GT is playing, SC State may have USF's number this year.

REALITY SAID: Temple 20-17 WOW. The reality of the offense was about HALF what I had thought. Props to Temple for getting it done.

REALITY SAID: Navy 42-10 We have not fared well against Navy in forever so the blowout didn't surprise me one bit. What is surprising me is our offensive ineffectiveness. Something is in the water with the ECU offense when they play a FBS team.

That Maryland game was such a trap game. -7 was a sucker line, Vegas made so much money on the Owls. I knew better than to touch it.

We put up 430 yards of total offense. Just couldn't finish drives.
