RE: Men's Basketball Schedule Released
if Ehsan has another mediocre season with this lineup, he’s fired right?

Buyout only $400k, but here we are with this season upcoming and another two to follow. Hopefully he gets it going in the right direction this season. Has a practice facility that has half the money raised for it, that he can sell in recruiting, too. Public wouldn’t know that, though. Makes zero sense to not have this project out in the open.

Invalid. Non-conference football opponents are normally determined more than one year in advance, due to there being, at most, four non-conference games.

Navy now only has one non-conference game to play with each season.

Premium surcharges on home field season tickets have nothing to do with who we play. They are simply added to the season ticket price when tickets are ordered for home games just as they presently are for season tickets for home games at Bartow Arena. If one does not wish to pay the top premium for the best seats, then one can buy tickets in a less expensive area of the stadium - or none at all. Until UAB can sell season tickets for games at the Protective (BJCC) Stadium, no one will know for sure how much premium surcharge UAB will charge and for which seats.

Here we are again lol..

The schedule is minimally better. Still pretty awful overall. I don’t buy all the same old excuses.

The basketball program is in bad shape and only continues to wallow in sub-mediocrity, while the old timers continue to stick their heads in the sand and get mad at those that raise their concerns

Its much more than sticking heads in the sand. its sticking hands in the wallet.

That is what makes things happen.

I happen to like Ehsan and realize that we are just blowing in the wind until a conference move happens.

I haven't been a fan of Ingram yet I realize that sometimes making a schedule in basketball is difficult.

You can have 10 home games and a lot of great away games & lose out on season ticket sales or you can have 16 home games - some against not so great opponents.

I'm happy to see the road games against power schools. That toughens a team up. I'm not happy to hear that the Kentucky game took another game falling through to happen.

Get the non D-1 and SWAC teams off the schedule, and we have something. At least we do have some quality games guaranteed this year. I want to see more H&H with other mid majors. I'd rather us play anywhere in the country than host non D-1 twice a year.

If what you say is true then the b-ball program could be blowing in the wind for a very, very long time. There is no guarantee that UAB will ever move into another conference and I sincerely hope this is not what Ingram is waiting for if a coaching change needs to be made. But considering where basketball now sits on the totem pole, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case.

I'm with ya. I like the power school games, but the rest of the schedule is garbage again..
