Stay, or look at other options? Missouri Valley Conference? I always liked our competition with Illinois State and Indiana State. Missouri State is their now, along with the Dakotas. We are, in tennis terms, in “no-mans-land.” We’re boxed (as is the MAC). Thoughts?

Leaving FBS or the MAC shouldn’t even be an option.

It wasn’t that long ago that CMU was beating MSU, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Indiana, etc. at THEIR place.

It will take time, but I do believe CMU will start to be competitive again in FBS in the near future.

Unlike our previous HC, Mac has already started putting his stamp on the boys up front. Bono basically ignored the OL in recruiting, and it shows.

I appreciate your concern, Tic, I really do, but here’s the reality of our program:

1. Marketing has been abysmal since shortly after the Kramer era.

2. The “Farting-C” is the worst logo in college sports.

3. The Marching Band has lost its way. Cadence is too slow, as is the music. Large flag girls? No thanks. Get the conference member flags back with people who are fit (look what’s happened to airline stewardesses - I don’t want to hear about emergency procedures from a blue whale eating a candy bar!). What happened to soloist in the band? How about performing to the students with an electric guitar and the drum section? How about a 5th quarter by the band? It’s all bush-league!
No imagination! Jack Saunders has to be rolling over in his grave!

4. TV is killing attendance. We will never have the crowds we had back in the 70s and 80s.

Solve these issues, and we’ll be back where we were. Stay the course and we’ll remain irrelevant.
