Can Newton has received permission from the Panthers to seek a trade.

I think your safe for a couple reasons.

1. The Pats don't run that kind of an offensive system under Belichick and never have really... even when Brady was injured. All of their QBs have been less mobile pocket passer types.

2. I really don't see Belichick taking on that kind of personality at the QB position. Sure, he's taken on some hot heads and edgy types that other teams shy away from, but not at that position. Bill likes control. He can control those other positions a lot easier than he can the QB, and even then I don't see him wanting to spend 40% of his time making sure his QB isn't being an arse clown in front of the cameras or off the field.

Just my opinion though. I could see Tampa Bay going bringing Cam in if they miss on Brady though. They currently have been using a similar QB in Winston, and as bad as Cam has played recently... I still think he's better than 'ol "crab legs".

Jamies was basically blind and was 30/30. Just turn 10 of those INTs and it's a 40/20 season which is pretty damn good. With Teddy signing in Carolina, Jamies might be the best option for the Pats honestly.

That was 90 % due to Bruce Arians, not Jameis. Arians' system requires very little brain and a big arm to be successful. It also didn't hurt that Jameis had Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to throw to.

Send Jameis anywhere else and you can forget about a 30 TD season or anything close to it.

RE: 2019 NFL Regular Season
As a Bears fan, I'm open to Newton as my QB. It seems like our options are Dalton, Foles and now, Newton, so it's not like we have a lot of great options. Of those three, I prefer Dalton, but I'll take Cam over Foles.

I enjoyed Cam and hope the best for him. Despite what some people think of him, he was a pillar in the Charlotte community and matured a lot while he was in Charlotte. Yeah he made his mistakes, I can't argue against that. I still think he can be a good QB in the NFL but it just doesn't make sense for the Panthers to go forward with him as their QB.

Also, Mel Kiper scores it this way...

I did think the Cowboys had a decent draft as well. Along with the Bills, obviously.

The cowboys will be better if jerry leaves the coach alone.

Get ready to get owned Hoops! Y’all need a freaking quarterback and play makers. Our offense will be sick.

RE: 2019 NFL Regular Season
Pats? If y’all win now, your coach truly is the best of all time. Cowboys should be ready and if they don’t win now, they never will.
