Trolling aside... I have plenty of respect for USM as a program and believe this will be a tough game. The line of -3 proves that.

Interesting game. Troy is always at or near the top of SunBelt and USM fans are full of confidence for the season. Chin check time.

This game very well could be CUSA's Champ vs Sunbelt's Champ

Troy fans still aren't sure of how this season might turn out. We racked up 527 total yards on Campbell, and held them to only 50 yards rushing and 93 yards passing... but it's Campbell. There were some rhythmic issues with the offense against Campbell. I'm not sure if the BYE week is going to be helpful because of the extra time to prepare for USM and fix any issues, or if it will be harmful because of the lack of rhythm Troy has gotten to establish with live game action.

I would say that BYE week is going to be a disadvantage for us. If it was mid-season it would be helpful, but this early in the season rhythm is more important than extra prep time. Looks like McClain arranged the perfect schedule before leaving Troy for Hattiesburg...

We had 2 guys from the O-line get injured. Unsure how serious and if they will miss the Troy game.

No USM fan is taking this game lightly because we have respect for Troy FB.

Likewise. Lots of intangibles in USM's favor. Two really good defenses though, so we'll have to see which offense handles it better.

Troy will win this going away. USM is a hot mess right now. Our coaches think we're good, though. Shades of 2012.

My heart says we win by 10.

I agree. We should play only one game in Alabama each year and it should be either UAB or Troy in alternating years. Let Bama and The Barn find another sacrifice to the god of money football.....
