CUSA: We make losing an art form
Who thinks they had the best loss this week?
Clearly Rice took the cake in Week 1 with the 14-7 loss to Army.
Lots more quality losses to choose from this week but I would give the nod to Marshall who battled Boise but ultimately fell short by the same 14-7 score.
Charlotte, ODU, and maybe even FAU & USM can also make a valid claim this week.
Who should get the coveted Best Loss Of The Week trophy?

I say Charlotte. Marshall close 2nd, but no first downs in the 2nd half is telling. Charlotte kept in striking distance until very late.

Since ULM took FSU to OT in Tallahassee and the dumpster fire that FSU is...I wonder how much Boise's win vs them has devalued Boise some? Guess we'll find out the rest of the season huh?

It has to be us (FAU). A tale of two halves: a bad one (the first half), and a terrible one (the second half)

I actually think that strengthens our case. To only play offense for one half and only lose by 7 makes it that much more remarkable.

Very artistically done. A striking asymmetry.

How about a ‘work-in-progress’?

Not UTEP. We have losing football games down to a science. 2-24 over the last two years.

After seeing Army take Michigan to double overtime, That single TD loss to Army makes Rice’s performance look all the more impressive.

Is Charlotte the only CUSA team that is a at least a little upbeat so far? I mean, we've sucked so we'll take anything and so far we are getting that.

Some Rice people are giddy over our "moral" victories, and looking forward to the CUSA part of the schedule, and 2020.

From watching you play Army I think you have every right to be giddy.

Many of my fellow fans have already thrown in the towel. But then again, that's nothing new.

We are undefeated in moral victories. Working on going to a moral bowl.

Rice is going to break out.
I expect them to be dominant in 2-3 years, assuming they keep this coach.

That's how we felt when Boise beat Florida State and we kept it to within 7. But then Florida State almost crapped the bed vs ULM, so who knows how good Boise is this year. Too early to tell. But they are 2-0.

CUSA: We make losing an art form
Early returns from week 3 is that North Texas clearly knocked it out of the park with the most artistic loss of the week, outscoring Cal 14-3 in the second half and nearly pulling off the so-called “W”. 17-23. Bravo!

*I use the term “W” because we prefer not to say the “W-word” in this thread!!

Crossposting from the Friday game thread an early vote for week four’s honoree...

Sounds like an early vote for quality-loss-of-the-week. FIU could be moving back up the conference rankings this week!
