Yes they are, your point is well-taken.

However, even though NIU has been one of MAC's premier programs over last decade or so - none of those P5s they beat were in the Top 25.

And of their P5 losses, only 2011 Wisconsin, 2012 Florida State, and 2015 Ohio State were.

--- Syracuse definitely winnable. We won't beat them, though. P5 talent almost always pulls it off in games where a G5 underdog has a shot. Just focus on Georgia St, though.

---- Northern Illinois is the only one in the conference who does it consistently. We need to get to their level!

Only 3? Anyone have any idea how many ranked P5 teams we've played since 2011? I'd expect it's over 10.

For what it's worth, they almost pulled that Ohio State win off, while we got blasted by them in 2015.

Since 2010 we've played seven ranked (at the time) P5 teams including MSU last week and Wiscy in Cotton Bowl.

I looked it up and it's 10 when you look at the end of the year rankings (not counting g5 ranked teams).

Honestly though, I would only go 1970+ for the "Modern Intercollegiate Football" era starting. But in actuality, I'd go 1990+, myself for more modern Times.

We lost 19-7 to Wiscy team missing multiple players including starters suspended for the "Shoe Box" scandal.

It was actually 12-7 until the final couple minutes when WMU got stopped on a potential go-ahead drive and then Wisky ran the punt back to make it a 19-7 final. Was a defensive dogfight though, shoe scandal or not. Badgers still had Brooks Bolinger, Michael Bennett and Lee Evans. Final yards total was 252-242.

My bad, you are correct on the score.

Point is we were playing a Badger team that was at less than full strength and as I recall heard only that week from NCAA regarding suspensions.

Injuries or no, doesn't matter.

The SunBelt didn't have any P5 wins last year. Georgia St upsetting Tennessee doesn't make the SunBelt pass the MAC.
