Big 12 Commercial
Narrator talks about the teams in the conference having “uncompromising values”

As Baylor is being shown. Can’t make this stuff up.

“Values”, you would assume here from context means “moral values”.

But there is another meaning, from algebra and mathematics. So perhaps they were referring to the value of the term N, representing the number of schools in the conference. This value was initialized at 12 during the formation of the league. To prevent it from being compromised, it was included in the name of the new league.

That value is never com...pro...mised...

Oh wait never mind that doesn’t work either...

It does actually. In the Big 12 the value of each school is 1.2 schools. It's the only way that they can indeed be a Big 12. So the value of each school in the Big 12 is 20% higher than schools in other conferences, otherwise it's just an admission that they can't count.

vs a conference that is the "south east" with Missouri......and Missouri in the EAST division

West Virginia? Yeah, they fit. At least Missouri is contiguous with Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky.

RE: Big 12 Commercial
Yeah, yeah...

The Big "12" has 10 teams, while the Big "Ten" has 14.

The "Southeastern" Conference now has teams 4 teams west of the Mississippi, and two are in "border" states that technically sided with the North in the U.S. Civil War

The "Atlantic Coast" Conference has two teams from states that don't even come close to bordering the Atlantic Ocean (plus, technically, neither does Pennsylvania).

The "Pac" 12 has 4 teams from states that do not border the Pacific Ocean, and they aren't even in the Pacific Time Zone.

So, yeah, the names don't really fit all that well.

RE: Big 12 Commercial
The problem with the "uncompromising values" element of the commercial (I have not seen/heard) is not so much that it contradicts what has happened with some Big 12 athletic programs in the past. Rather, it is that it's cliched and generic.

Give me something clever and oddball (like the now-retired Dos Equis commercials with the swashbuckling older gent).
