Won three games in them last year. Have beaten Purdue twice wearing all white. I get superstitions, but the reasons for the blow out yesterday do not include uniform combinations.

The origin of one team wearing white jerseys came about with the advent of TV. Back when TV was only black and white people couldn't tell who was who, so they started making one team wear white.

Then why is there pics of UC FB teams wearing white in the 1940s and early 1950s?

Jeesh… there's one in every crowd.

White jerseys weren't invented for TV. The concept of one team being white and one team being colors was made for b&w TV.

You will note that they've relaxed the rule in recent years where both teams wear their colors, but only if they're different colors.

When I saw them come out in all white I had flash backs to being in NOLA at the Sugar Bowl?

It was even worse than NOLA!

Correct. It's not the jerseys. It's the white helmets!

Not a huge fan of all white but the UCLA win last year came in all white. I would like to see White helmet black jersey white pants at home, black white black on the road.

Y'all are so stuffy when it comes to uniforms...the All whites look great, and yes we actually do win in them.

Agreed.

But I will add, I think UA has done good work for UC overall but they showed little creativity on this jersey revision, especially after waiting years for a new look. The black sleeve really adds nothing. And whoever designed it showed little understanding of how jerseys appear in game action. That large C-Paw on there will never be clearly visible as those sleeves are always pushed up. A plain black sleeve would have been fine.
