Looking forward to watching NIU-UT at T. Too bad (and unchangeable) we're not geographically closer. Per your comments, would be a helluva game to be able see in person every year.
Also, btw, noted your official attendance was 24,889. Camera panned the GB several times, and I'd say 20-25k was pretty accurate. Wish NIU could draw 20k per game. Our local market profiles are different, but I bring this up because we have yet to adjust to a new competitor ... the 40-inch big-screen tv at home. If NIU made any single adjustment/investment at Huskie Stadium, I would make a bigger, better video scoreboard #1.
Oh well.
40 inch is not even a big-screen...I have 3 TV's bigger than that in my house, 55 inch in my bedroom, 60 inch in my den, 82 inch in my family room. But yes the intent of your comment is 100% accurate.
My daughter goes to USF so we go to their games, they play at the Tampa Bay Bucs stadium so have 2 amazing video boards and they make a huge difference IMO.

RE: Elsewhere in the MAC...
I inadvertently got off on tv's, but I drifted because schools like Toledo are making "affordable" improvements (they installed a ribbon board at the GB, which HS already has). I also should have left off the "40-inch," which for me in my small home is my "big screen." My intent was to emphasize that one-shot projects like a bigger board are doable even if expanded capacity is not.
A college coach I once knew (deceased) pushed for such things, explaining that the two teams could go play in a field somewhere and the game would still count ... that the stadium is for the fans. I think Touchdown Village is a great move in that direction.
And again ... wrong thread.

Keep in mind the luxury suites is four stories of boxes and holds a lot of people. Those folks don't get shown and they are all sold out.

Wisconsin doubles its lead, now 14-0 over the Flashes of Kent State, 14:15 left in 2Q.
Wisconsin has scored a TD in each of its two possessions but is draining clock effectively to (mercifully) shorten this game.

RE: Elsewhere in the MAC...
So much for mercy, Wisconsin calls a couple of timeouts and forces a punt to get the ball back and then passes the ball quickly down the field for its 4th TD of the game, up 28-0 with 1:23 left in the first half.
Wisconsin starts the second half with the ball too (assuming no onside kick shenanigans by Kent).

I don’t expect them to compete in the MAC championship this year. Too many injuries with zero depth to replace them. No pass rush, so teams like Toledo will torch NIU.
I take it that you haven't seen Toledo play this year. They're just as unimpressive so far. Their QB doesn't look the same after an early injury, my guess is that he isn't 100% and it says something about what the coach thinks about the quality of depth at the position that he keeps getting trotted out there.
NIU, EMU, and Toledo will have a good battle for the top of the West.
As I said, NIU isn't any worse this year than any other team in the West.

Bowling broke a 9 year streak of losing to Toledo. Sound familiar?

NIU are the defending MAC champions until dethroned.
This season is not over yet.
Hopefully after the Ohio game, I became a Thomas Hammock superfan!

Your point was understood. By most at least.Especially a fellow 40 inch "bring screen" owner in a small room.
Some just feel the need I think to describe their own personal "Jerry's World" in their home for some reason.
