I mean let's be honest. Given the last four years it'd be shocking if anyone besides Clemson or Alabama won.

If you go back the past 10 seasons, Bama has won 5 chips. That's a pretty good run and a select VIP club to boot:
5 - Bama
2 - Clemson
1 - Florida
1 - Florida St
1 - Ohio St
Go back 20 seasons:
5 - Bama
2 - Clemson
2 - Florida
2 - Florida St
2 - LSU
2 - Ohio St
1 - Auburn
1 - Miami, FL
1 - Oklahoma
1 - Texas
1 - USC
The SEC has accounted for 10 chips thanks in large part to Mr. Saban's Opus [6 total].
For all the talk we hear living in B10 country about how great that conference is, other than OSU (especially under Urban) no other school up north has been able to run with the big dogs from down south for a national championship the past two decades.
Michigan, arguably the other standard bearer in the B10, gave up 62 in Columbus last season and fell by more than two touchdowns, losing for the 14th time in 15 years in the series.
Maybe Michigan should drop football and allocate those resources to its basketball program?

I was thinking about this yesterday, seeing that we have won 13 straight from Miami U and our results against tOSU. Here are tOSU's lifetime records vs. their conference mates:
v. Indiana 75-12-5 (last loss 1988- 7/12 Ls came before WWII).
v. Illinois 69-30-4
v Iowa 47-15-3
v. Michigan 51-58-6 (only 3 UM wins since 2000s).
v. Michigan State 32-15
v. Minnesota 46-7 (only 3 victories over tOSU after the 1950s).
v. Nebraska 7-1 (1 victory came before NU was in conference).
v. Northwestern 62-14-1 (half of the wins prior to WWII, only two wins over tOSU after 1971).
v. Penn State 20-14 (most competitive with OSU over the last 25 years, most of wins came prior to being in conference).
v. Purdue 40-15-2 (3 victories over tOSU in last 10 years).
v. Rutgers 5-0 (tOSU has outscored them 262-27)
v. Wisconsin 59-18-5 (the Badgers dominated tOSU prior to WWI).
I guess we shouldn't feel so bad getting rocked by tOSU last week. With all of the benefits, riches and rewards of being in the B10, none of these other teams save Penn State and Michigan can compete with the Buckeyes either.
