Exclamation College Football Week 2
To take a page from Bearhawkeye's thread from last week. A couple of games on the slate tonight. The one I'm most interested in is Marshall at Boyzee. 9 PM. ESPN2.

William & Mary at Virginia. 8 PM. ACCN.

Wake Forest at Rice. 8 PM. CBSSN.

Sacramento St at Arizona St. 10 PM. PACN.

I don't think I can watch it. At least not the final UC drive...maybe one of the greatest "teasers" in UC football history.

I feel you. Yet there is something about watching old UC games that I can't stop.

LaDaris Vann is an all time Bearcat receiver. Loved that guy.

Just watched a drive where Vann made two spectacular catches that set up a touchdown. Minter played way too conservatively this game. When they spread it out they moved the ball. Tried to play base too often. Cost them.

From this first 15 minutes watching them (though known for well before the season started), Marshall is going to be a very tough out. Probably a top 4 game for us this year, especially playing on the road.

OSU, UCF, at Memphis above them but Marshall's above UCLA and maybe Houston in my book.

Agree. Marshall is a damn good team.

It’s why I hate playing at OSU this week. Schedule is difficult enough. Rather play a MAC buy game then Miami before playing at Marshall, UCF , and Houston. Basically have to pull an a small upset to get to 3-3. Two to get to 4-2.

One game at a time. We're a pretty damn good team too.

I don't think I can watch it. At least not the final UC drive...maybe one of the greatest "teasers" in UC football history.

The two plays which were killers(although the Murray non catch gets all the pub) are the end zone interception where either Gino had the wrong throw or the receiver ran the wrong route to take away a likely certain point opportunity in q4, and the Gino fumble on the botched blocking or play call where he gets knocked down. Brain farts somewhere in the offense which killed them.

I actually like those all black uni's they wore in that game. How funny would it be if they came out in those tomorrow?

Very true. Still, 1st and 10 from the 15 to win it...

That's the type of schedule we need if we want any chance of making a playoff. Worse would be to go undefeated with a weak schedule a la UCF, not get selected, and wonder what if we had a stronger SoS

Letting Krenzel get to the endzone on third down hurt too. Had him stopped. They certainly kick the FG to go up. UC has a Ruffin FG to win it.

I agree with this. Bottom line is that this appears to be a schedule where we have a shot to get into the playoffs, but only if we go undefeated, OSU wins the B10, UCLA is solid in the PAC and Marshall wins out minus a loss to UC...basically impossible, but at least our schedule is set up to give us a chance. So we need to root for Marshall tonight and pray that everything else magically happens
