With Taylor out?

No they won't do that.

If they don't, we will run all over them. Taylor isn't our only punishing back.

That would be awesome if they did. Whatever defense they play probably won't matter.

Comparing them in any way to Georgia State is asinine.

Georgia State was 2-10 last year.
Southern was 7-4 last year.

Both teams appear to be bad. Southern just lost to McNeese State 34-28 after losing 5 fumbles. GS beat UTK which is awesome and could also be a fluke.

Utk would beat Southern 50-0 if you need to understand the difference between the two. For that matter, Austin Peay would probably beat Southern by 3 touchdowns.

Latech beat Southern 54-17 last year .

Quite a stretch.
To SU's credit that game was 31-17 midway through the 3rd and there was a very questionable offensive pass interference call that brought back a Southern TD that would've made the score 38-24 late in the 3rd. La Tech score two late TDs including a 30 yard pass as time expired to made the score look a little more lopsided than it actually was.

Exactly what I said would happen. We named the score and beat them while sleepwalking. Stick to cars.

Well, Gomer, we did win by 31.

Only AFTER halftime adjustments when the players STOPPED calling it and actually came to play.

Go back to OP and it said we cannot come out not ready to play which we did, and the first half looked like crap. SU had ToP by an almost 3-1 margin.

Just because they made the adjustments and started to play in second does not change the validity of the OP. If anything it adds validity to the position.

You're really not that stupid, even though your post seems like it at times.

The spread was -37.5 Memphis (and that was without the news that Taylor would be out) and Memphis won by 31.

We've struggled against FCS before (and recently) and we did not today.

It's been common knowledge Taylor would be out almost all week.

Still it was a good win.
