Saw a movie with the fam this weekend. Takes place in the outer banks, NC. In it the main guy asked the main girl where's she's from, to which she responded "Richmond".

He then asked if she went to "JMU or GW". My sons all gave a cheer.

That's the first JMU reference I can recall in a movie. Any others in movies or TV?

So either True Crime or Absolute Power (Late 90’s Clint Eastwood films) has a JMU game on the character’s TV in the opening scenes. Pretty sure he’s even made a bet on the game.
