This is true, but I'd like to see you quantify that chance.

ESPN's FPI is 90%, that sounds about right.

10-15% is reasonable, I worry about our OL more than anything.

I have yet to find a Charlotte fan that thinks we are going to win. CLT is a schtick. He's been doing that since the 90's. That's the thread. Don't see much hemming and hawing going on.

Reasons why I think the game will be CLOSER than last year:

1) As you will see in the thread, I don't think we are going to win. I want to make that clear.

2) You guys lost 6 very talented players on defense. It's very hard to maintain that level of success following a departure such as that.

3) Drink is a good playcaller, but Scott Satterfield is a program altering type of coach. You lost him. Bryan Brown was a very underrated D coordinator. You lost him as well. Ted Roof is not as good at his job as Bryan Brown

4) Your best player is suspended, and it's a questionable decision at best. I wonder how it went over in the locker room.

5) You guys have a huge game following your game with us.

6) We replaced absolutely the worst in game coach I have ever witnessed. I have no clue if Healy is a good in game coach yet, but it can't get worse.

Next List: Reasons I don't think you watched our game:
A) 2 of our three picks literally hit receivers in the face.
B) GW didn't have a sustained drive until late in the 3rd quarter. If this were app you'd say "bUt ThE sUbZ wErE iN" because it's us, you say Gardner Webb shoved it down our throat like the 85 bears.
C) for some reason you assume only appalachian state makes defensive substitutions.

Both App and UNCC ran base offense and defensive plays 90% of the time last week. To Clayton's point earlier I'd expect App to be fairly vanilla again this week as they play UNCCH next.

The Sutton suspension for another game is puzzling and I don't believe we'll play our starting S, Franklin, or OT, Johnson, if we don't need to. Peoples may be out for the rest of the season. Any injury update on UNCC?

App should win by a comfortable 2-3 TDs based upon the current rosters.

One of our starting DE's was out last week and should be ready to go this week. We are pretty healthy overall with no injuries of note last week.

If you read Apple State's board, they got better and Charlotte is a thousand times worse.

People see what they want to see on boards. Both boards have a half a dozen posters looking for slap stick laughs. UNCC has more than its fair share of delusional fans when it comes to this game.

UNCC should be better this year, jury is out on App, especially our defense. I'll step out of a limb and agree with 49er fans the game will be closer than 45-9.

App by 100.

I think this will be a competitive game atleast until half, maybe into the third, but the depth of APP should carry the day, I definitely don’t think it will be a blowout, ETSU gave the 49ers the game plan, eat up the play clock, run the ball, short safe passes, pick up first down repeat, keep our offense on the sidelines. I just wonder if we will make adjustments to take away the quick pass, or will we let the 49ers nickel and dime us down the field all day long.

I will admit that I have not watched a single Charlotte football game since your inaugural season back in 2013. (I watched the replay of your game vs Campbell out of pure curiosity.)

I am wondering how Charlotte fans feel the program has progressed from a talent perspective since then. Would the 2019 team destroy the 2013 or 2014 teams?

I'd say UNCC has trended inversely to ECU since 2014.

Easily, I don't think a lot of people outside of the program understand how bad of a coach Brad Lambert is. No energy, no in-game adjustments, horrible schemes, and a pretty poor recruiter to boot. No surprises that it was Judy Rose that hired him.

Lambert's biggest issue was his inability to get an above average QB to come to Charlotte. He had an amazing chance with Riley Ferguson, who wanted to come to Charlotte and whose brother was on the team. Lambert said their were too many red flags and proceeded to sign the train wreck known as Kevin Olsen.

I always said Lambert was a two touchdown liability every time he stepped on the field and with him and Judy gone, Niner fans can finally look towards improvement and some excitement surrounding the program.

Eh, we have landed several very talented players but we have surrounded them by fcs level players. That has been a trend since the beginning. Our recruiting probably actually dropped a bit several years in after our recruiting coordinator died and we didn't replace him with someone of equal talent.

Healy has done a better job so far with FBS level talent. We had enough talent to have better records than we have in the past but our coaching was also very poor. Can't comment on Healy coaching yet but it is nice to see us landing more.players that have FBS offers. So many Lambert recruits had only FCS offers.

Our first class was about as good as could have possibly been expected. Recruiting declined after that class, and truly never got any better. We consistently had recruiting classes rated in the 120's after that first class, and even some in the 130's, getting beaten by FCS programs. Healy recruited better than us at Austin Peay one year.

Talent wise, our best team was 2016, when that first group were redshirt seniors. We only won 4 games. Last season we won 5, but we played a weaker schedule in my opinion.

Lambert may be fine as a coordinator, but Charlotte area high school coaches basically mutinied against him. I don't know what he did, but he angered a lot of people. We barely had any recruits from our own region. He took some chances on kids he probably shouldn't have later in his tenure that really ended up not working out well. Durning (Strength Coach, Southern Miss now) Did a great job developing some solid football players from a roster that was not highly recruited.

TLDR, Healy's first full class will be this year, and it's already the best one we've had. It's gonna be a while before we see those players though. Healy has had some very solid transfer additions though.

- Men's Basketball was on the better side of good until Cobb made the three worst hires he could make in a row in Bball. Thankfully Cobb is making the GaSt hires now. App were regular season conference champions seven times between '98-'10.

- Women's Basketball have won the WBI twice in the last 10 years

- 45-9

Yeah but what everyone is super interested in, is did our club kickball team tie for 3rd at the metrolina regional kickball extravagenza? UNCC's did, and thats what is going to lead them into the SEC promised land.

You see, ADs care more about kickball than football. Sure, we're good at football, but our club kickball team sucks.
