House of Representatives Special Election on September 10
The whole coast of North Carolina is in District 3, which has a Special Election on September 10 to replace Walter B. Jones Jr., a Republican who won unopposed last year and died of ALS on February 10 at age 76. The candidates are Greg Murphy, a Republican from North Carolina House of Representatives District 9; Allen Thomas, a Democrat who was the mayor of Greenville from December 2011 through June 2017; Tim Harris, a Libertarian who is a Marine Corps veteran and IT engineer; and Greg Holt, a Constitution party businessman. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_North...l_election is about the election. On the same day, District 9 will have a Special Election that's a redo after last year's election was disputed.

District 3 doesn't include Downtown Wilmington anymore. That gerrymander has been eliminated

Yup, all the crying and screaming to re-do from one side and the results pretty much the same.
