RE: Is it time to turn to Connor Adair?
He threw for 175ish? yards and 0 tds, 1 rushing td from the qb sneak on the goal-line.
Very pedestrian numbers, the only thing that sticks out is his completion percentage, which is greatly helped by the short passing. He is a very average qb and not someone you want to have the ball in his hands when the game is on the line. Hand it to your RBs and let them make plays.

My issues today (as well as many games last season) was the playcalling. The several pass plays on 3rd and 4th and short were baffling. Seems like when we run for the lead, all of a sudden we start passing the ball and teams come back on us.

RE: Is it time to turn to Connor Adair?
White is a good, immobile "game manager" and is good enough IF he has time to throw.

Ole Miss was rushing 4 all day and still collapsed the pocket within 2 or 3 seconds. White can't function in that situation.

Our O-line is our biggest problem in the passing game, imo. But they run block well which makes it more frustrating.

When we face terrible AAC defenses (ECU, SMU, Tulsa, etc.) he will pad his stats and make him look better than he really is.

I don’t care about his overall completion percentage. I would like to see it broken down between 0-5 yards, 6-15 yards and over 15.

We need more than a game manager to be great IMO. White has no arm strength and we have no deep threat which this offense desperately needs. Or if we do not have a QB with a good arm then we need a running threat.

White is what he is but IMO we need more to get over the proverbial jump.

I echo the play calling. I also think that the offense needs to be adjusted for White. All of our pass plays take too long (at least the passes downfield). With the combination of our talented receiving corps plus White’s apparent lack of arm strength, we need some 3 step drop passes. 3rd and 6 or 7 is always an adventure for us.

RE: Is it time to turn to Connor Adair?
At this time I think that Brady White gives us the best chance of winning. His issue today was due to the inexperience of the OL and the quality of the defensive front of Ole Miss. He just didn't have time to get the ball to a receiver. As the OL gels, he will have better results.

Did anyone notice whether he had receivers breaking open? Did they get separation?

Brady White is CMN's boy. He is going to stick with him no matter what so we should just get used to it. It is what it is.

We have no good WR's other than Coxie. And he's just good, not great.

We're gonna have to win on defense and in the running game against good teams this year. But against most of our schedule, the defenses are so bad that we'll put up some numbers and win by big margins.

Our defense was incredible, and won this game for us, and I hope it continues.

If you are a true tiger fan, of course we need to look at other options. No tiger fan wants to see Brady White struggle, but in a team sport opportunity for a special season are far to few. I don’t care how much we want the kid to do well, he is making us very vulnerable in to many situations; been like that for 2 years. We lost 6 games last year, it’s not like we went undefeated with him. I watched a lot of qbs , some not fortunate to have the talent we have, continue to make plays. I’m a Memphis Tiger fan 1st, a Brady White fan yes, but a Tiger team fan first. The team deserves better

That was frustrating as hell to me. But maybe it's the reality of what Norvell has been looking at in practice...a weak armed, immobile QB...an offensive line who can't pass block...a weak receiving corps....facing an SEC defense.

Also OUR defense. Who he thought could keep us in the game and possibly win it for us if we just played it safe on offense.

Still frustrating, but our passing game is way way worse than it's been the last several years for a variety of reasons.

Having said all that, as soon as we start facing garbage AAC defenses, we will all think our passing game is great.

You're an idiot. Break all your fingers and quit posting.

Those who lack a certain level of intellectual capacity usually feel threatened when they see an opinion they don’t like and don’t know what else to do except lash out and name call.

Others complain about a QB that just beat an SEC team. The game should've easily been 30-10, at worst. Horrible penalties, a couple of botched assignments and a very young OL contributed to points being left on the field.

But, you can be passive aggressive and uninformed as usual. If you actually knew anything you were talking about, then I guess I would give you more credit. You don't, so I won't.

Nah, I think you are the freakin' moron. Other than one bad decision on a throw to a RB that was illegally tackled on a screen, please name anything he did that would've cost us the game? Seeing that he threw for more yards than their whole team gained. On every one of the scoring drives, he had completions that kept drives alive.

Plenty of blame to go around.
O Line was a problem area.
Nowhere near as strong as they have been the last few years.

True

But Brady white had these same issues last year.

Yes he did. Had Pollard and Henderson to take the spotlight off his flaws. Another problem is the RPO. Brady is no run threat and the long developing plays is hurting him more than helping. Coach Norvell needs to tweak his offense around his weaknesses.

Not a bad comparison but the difference is Dilfer had time to throw.
