What other P5 team has Georgia St ever beaten? I'll wait but won't leave the light on. It was a nice win in Knoxville but that propels them to the American? Sheeeeeeeeeet.

Pretty sure everyone here is joking.. no one actually wants ga-state in the american..

its a tradition here when anyone from c-usa/sunbelt/mac wins a big p5 game we make one of these threads "xx to the american"

but honestly we wont stay at 11 forever...ga state is no where near ready but in 6 years who knows

Not expanding anytime soon... "no one adds value"

Maybe that's not the right way to look at it... no one lowers our value either, might as well identify a potential member with the most upside (whoever that might be) and add them early and nurturer them, allow them to grow so that they will have value when the contract is up or renegotiated.

there is a big gap between ucf/usf and ecu that would be filled nicely by a georgia school.

We have a stadium with 42k chair backs and 250k Sq feet office and suite space not to mention a new FOC inside it. So yeah, stadium is not the reason we will lose out in this battle.

Someone on the ACC board made a compelling argument for Rice to the AAC which flipped my opinion. I just don’t know how committed Rice is to getting back to being a respectable football program. Before then, I thought UAB, then Ga.St. were the 2 best candidates based on potential and location.

Congratulations to Ga. St. big win.

I'd keep an eye out on UMass

UMass basketball history is right up there with some of the good ones... keeping the most important sport in mind... If they get their act together on a new 40k football stadium they could potentially slide right in and perhaps even be the front runner up for AAC's 12th open spot.

Love UMass but they do not have new stadium plans.

Congratulations to Ga. St. big win.

If Rice pulled an SMU and invested in a big-time basketball coach they'd be attractive. Too small to ever really have much impact in football from a fan support side.

Too bad we can't give teams a trial run before giving them full membership.

Trolling after that choke job with BSU. I can't wait till FSU plays them in Boise. I am sure it should go well, especially with a new HC.

I'm not saying it is...I feel like their basketball program and hoops facility makes them the better pick.

they have (or will have) a new shiny stadium, new practice facilities, great market, and find themselves coming off an 11 win season.

You might want to rethink that after looking at Memphis first couple of years in this conference.

They did recently upgrade their stadium porta potties for indoor toilets. And I'm sure that vacated Final 4 banner is still somewhere on campus.

Definitely worth keep an eye on the Minutemen.
