Very few teams have released their full schedules yet. TV is picking and slotting all major conferences and their games as we speak. Shouldn't be too much longer. Thursday night at 845 pm? Yes please. Sunday afternoon at 4? perfect.

Just a casual thread and you guys make snide, personal remarks. Typical of a few posters who are miserable and want everyone else to be miserable too

I wish there was some way to end that kind of behavior. Social chat rooms have been havens for gutless bullies since their inception. With our moderators in this private chat room that should not be tolerated and repeat offenders should be excluded from participation.

Hope you are right, but past experience says don't expect anything like that.

Maybe Penny can get us over the scheduling rep that we have earned.

Earned? Are you implying we've been ducking big games? Truth is, no one has wanted to come play us at home is a while now, and we've been a non-factor for tv.

Going back through GoTigerGo.com story archives, the last time a schedule was released this late was in 2005 on September 17. Over the last 10 seasons, only once has the schedule not been released before September.

Below are the schedule release dates since 2000, and the only consistent thing with the timing of the schedule release is its inconsistency.

2018: Aug. 20
2017: Aug. 22
2016: Aug. 8
2015: Sept. 1
2014: Aug. 21
2013: Aug. 21
2012: July 27
2011: Aug. 24
2010: July 16
2009: Aug. 9
2008: Sept. 10
2007: July 19
2006: Sept. 6
2005: Sept. 17
2004: Sept. 2
2003: Sept. 10
2002: Sept. 9
2001: Aug. 9
2000: Aug. 16

That list is not accurate.

Tigers didn't release their hoops schedule until September 19th last year, because that is the date the AAC released the schedule of the conference games.

The school usually releases the nonconference schedule in advance.

I suspect many of these dates are right and hope it’s not the Tiger’s working in conjunction with AAC office to delay releasing a bad OOC schedule that has resulted from Penny’s instant success in taking over for a coach with many friends in CBB who resent Penny and won’t give us a home and home. Thus, hold off as long as possible to sell as many season tickets as possible.

These fence sitters are not in our season ticket base anymore so they want to see a few big names coming in. I was never overly concerned with schedule but liked watching how the team progressed over the season. Being at the game, you can isolate the player or play you want to see; can’t do that at home. Then all the usual reasons for going.

The list is when the non-conference portion of the schedule is released. Many years they release the OOC schedule early, and then the conference schedule when it becomes available.

The non-conference has ALWAYS been released in August. It wasn't this year.
