He redshirted in 2016. However, he could apply for a medical hardship waiver for that extra year (often conflated with a redshirt).

There was a lot of talk of him entering the draft after this season. My guess is if the knee heals up well he will be gone following next season.

Hope for a quick and setback free rehab. Considering the physical specimen he is he will be back at 110% in a year. Was really excited to see him play this year.

Don't they have 5 years to use their 4 years of eligibility (1 voluntary redshirt or 1 injury "redshirt" year). They only get a 6th year if it is proven they sat out 2 years due to injury.

I concur. If he were a relief pitcher, he would have recorded at least three saves last season with spectacular plays. Let's hope to see him back to full strength for a run at the access bowl in 2020.

Freaks will be freaks. I still find it unbelievable that Adrian Peterson tore both his ACL and MCL on Dec. 30th. Then, not only was he ready to play week 1 (7-8 months after his injury) of the next season...he came just yards short of breaking the NFL all-time season rushing record for an entire season. The doctors were dumbfounded that he could even play week 1 and how his body healed so quickly.

Not saying he’s AP, but I fully agree and expect Wigs to be back playing at 110% next year!
