RE: Streaming options to view FB/MBB games
Technical question -
I use my smart phone (Iphone) to get games on ESPN+ and stream them to my TV using Chromecast. Generally, it works great, but recently we experience the video freezing up while we watch the circle spin around until it comes back on. This happens over and over during the course of the game. By the time the game is finished on my phone, the actual game was over 3 to 5 minutes earlier.
Is this an issue with my phnoe, my wi-fi or something else? (We have Verizon FIOS for the internet provider).
It is really annoying.
Thanks for any advice,
s,

Sounds like buffering. Is your phone connected to the wifi when you do this?

Yes. I couldn't stream using Chromecast if it wasn't. The device and chromecast have to be on the same wifi for it to work at all.

The game is buffering because of your wifi signal. Since it's a live event, it's more noticeable than it would be for Netflix or Prime.
I would suggest either you reset your internet right before the game starts or (if possible) move your wifi router closer to the TV.
You could also buy a repeater, to boost your signal in weak areas of your house.
I moved mine behind the TV and I haven't had any issues watching ESPN+ and I'm often ahead of friends watching the same game.

Thanks. I will resetting everything before I begin, next time. The router is directly beneath the TV and the iphone is about 5 feet away, so signal strength shouldn't be an issue.
