Those of us in Central Florida may be right in the path of Hurricane Dorian that may reach category 4 wind strength. This storm bears some serious watching



I wonder if South Florida may also get a bit of a punch. I am watching this thing with trepidation. If this gets any closer I am putting up my shutters

I’ll be in Orlando during this. Hopefully it isn’t too bad

Make sure you are safe. Find a safe spot. This thing may be powerful. And it MAY be right on top of you.

Or it gets charged back up and gets blown back over Florida and does twice the damage....like Andrew did.

I recall... I was gearing up for my last semester at USM when she hit.. I got to Hattiesburg on Tuesday, did some running around and errands on Wednesday, went and talked to my boss to ask if he could use me for one semester since I had been out interning, and went to classes on Thursday.. Went home Thursday night because I didn't have classes on Friday.. She was still a Cat 2 when she got to my neck of the woods.. We were without electricity for 2 weeks.. When we finally got back to Hattiesburg, our house was untouched, minus a tree that fell on the deck.. Lost all our food in our refrigerator and deep freeze (alot of venison).. Started the semester later than anticipated that year... But still finished and graduated...

That is my concern as well. Gulf is still plenty warm.
