RE: The News Record: These High Schools Send Most Students to UC
I believe when I graduated HS there were only 3 people who went to UC, but lately I consistently see around 20 every year going there, so since the school is largely college prep, I take that as a positive for UC's reputation, as most graduates have multiple college options.

RE: The News Record: These High Schools Send Most Students to UC
I went to a GCL North school (McNick). UC is always the biggest destination Mcnick grads by a big margin.

Since I went there (late 90s) here's a complete list of every McNick grad who played D-1A football:

Brad Cupito was a walk-on at Indiana. I think his shoulder blew out ?

His brother Bryan went to Minnesota and became their all-time leading passer in every category (which says more about Minnesota than about him because he was a pro-style QB but was never considered for the NFL). He wasn't highly recruited; his only other offers were from Louisville and Miami Oxford. Who knows what would have happened if UC had offered him instead of Gino?

All the rest (6 or 8, I think) went to UC. Most were walkons. Matt Staubach had several MAC offers but was a preferred walk-on at UC. And one was the great Kevin Huber.
