Mason, Lakota's and Fairfield make sense because they are the largest public schools in Cincy as far as enrollment. (I believe Mason may be the largest in the State of OH) West Clermont is a little surprising because they are just a tad smaller, but their high UC enrollment makes sense because of the UC-Clermont campus. Milford may be a little higher on the list because of UC-Blue Ash.

I didn't look into the actual enrollment numbers but it is a bit surprising (troubling?) that there are no GCL schools on the list.

I think the norther suburbs get pulled down just a bit in relation to some of the other massive school districts because Miami pulls a decent rate out of there. Not as much as us but more of a factor there than like a West Clermont.

Their enrollment is WAY lower. Just by comparison, Mason has over 3500 students. The lowest school (per enrollment) on this list Sycamore has 1600+. The closest GCL school, St. X has 1400+. The next 3, Moeller, Elder and Lasalle are all less than 1000.

Last I checked, UC was the #1 destination by volume for St X students.

The spread was far wider than most public schools as you can imagine (St X sends kids to a lot of different unis, but UC was still #1 by most students, % was just lower than most schools likely).

RE: The News Record: These High Schools Send Most Students to UC
I've tracked this list for the past decade. In addition to the GCL schools Centerville made the list most years for a while. That is the big school in the south part of Dayton.

I don't seem to recall seeing Colerain, Fairfield and obviously West Clermont (recently formed due to consolidation). In fact, I specifically remember making a comment about it last year or the year before how I expected (due to size) that Fairfield would be on the list-- even if a lot of people up there are more geared towards Ohio State and Miami. Hamilton and Middletown fall into this category too, although I suspect they have fewer students who go directly to a 4-year university.

I remember posting about this last year or the year prior when I received my St. X Alumni Magazine, but can't find the numbers now. When I graduated (long time ago), about 30 in my class went to UC and about a dozen to Ohio State. Last year (or whenever I posted), it was somewhere around 90 who went to UC and 60 to Ohio State. The Miami number was lower than it was when I graduated. It truly speaks to the gains that UC and Ohio State have made over the past few decades.

I’m also a St X (1979) and UC grad (twice!) and St X has been and still remains the University that most St Xavier grads go to, every year. Lots of Bombers go to OSU and they send anywhere from 10-20 to ND every year, and universities all over the states, but UC remains #1.

Down the road, I'd like to see three or four schools from Columbus and Cleveland on the list. That would be a nice indication that we've truly become a statewide university.[/u]

I figure there have to be a couple in Dayton that are close (ie. Centerville and Kettering Fairmont). I also have to think by sheer numbers there's a chance one of the Olentangy's (Columbus area) would have to be close. People in Lewis Center and the surrounding area love OSU like there's no tomorrow, but there's 2,000 students in each of their 3 high schools. Dublin Coffman is pretty big as well. Two of the biggest schools in Columbus are Gahanna Lincoln and Reynoldsburg, but those schools are in the eastern suburbs and I would imagine a little tougher sell to get students down here in SWO.

I updated the OP to include enrollment figures for the top schools. Some of the bigger schools in Greater Cincinnati not listed (the later two being NKY schools, which means they are more likely to go to remain on their side of the river):

Hamilton (1,929)
Ryle (1,811)
Simon Kenton (1,764)

Is there a public high school in Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont counties that WOULDN'T send more grads to UC than any other 4-year university?

FYI, I believe Walnut Hills numbers are a little skewed because they include grades 7th and 8th in their overall numbers because they don't have a Jr High/Middle school.

Hamilton doesn't rank in the top 10 for UC because a good number of grads end up going to Miami-Hamilton or Butler Tech. IMO, that's a factor as to why Fairfield isn't higher on the list.

A lot of the students from Lakota, Fairfield, and Clermont go to
UC-Blue Ash (Raymond Walters) 5,000 students
and UC-Clermont 3,000 students.

UC-Blue Ash has more students than Tulsa!
And more students than X undergrad school.

I just found out there is a UC-Continuing Education campus
at Spring Hill Cemetery (and Arboretum). Maybe I can take calculus
for the 50th time in the year 2300! I might pass this time.

That is really continuing education! 03-lmfao 03-lmfao

Students are going to UCBA and Clermont from all over. The tuition is half the price. You can do the 2+2 program and transfer into the main campus
After knocking out most of your general requirements,

Also, Criminal Justice Majors complete their last two year at Clermont.
